We are committed to helping children succeed in all stages of life through evidence-based therapy (ABA, OT, PT, and Speech), state of the art facilities, specialized equipment, family support and education, and community investment.\nHere are some other reasons you’ll love working at Pediatrics Plus:\nFlexible Scheduling\nCompetitive Compensation\nPaid Time Off, Benefits, and 401K\nTraining & Development\nPersonal Growth & Leadership Opportunities\nSupportive & Interdisciplinary Work Environment\nWhat you will do:\nThe Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides speech therapy treatment services to children ages 0-21 years as prescribed by a physician and implemented in accordance with a treatment plan established by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).\nCollaborate with administration and other disciplines involved in the child’s care to promote consistent and quality services for children and families.\nProvide therapy services to children of varying ages, abilities, and diagnoses based on the recommended number of units from evaluations and prescriptions under the supervision of a SLP.\nProvide therapy services in a variety of settings including home, daycare, schools, outpatient clinic, community, as well as other settings.\nProvide therapy services to children based on the recommended number of units from evaluations, prescriptions, and/or funding source approvals.\nComplete assigned treatment and duties under the supervision of a licensed SLP.Complete a training plan aimed at assuring competency to conduct the tasks assigned.\nThe supervising SLP will provide both direct and indirect supervision and contact with each client every two weeks or as required.\nThe supervising SLP will be available to the SLP-A through face-to-face contact, phone, email, synchronous video communication, and/or other means of communication.\n\nSchedule children into caseload by contacting the parent/guardian.\nProvide documentation of all therapy services by locking and electronically signing weekly progress notes.\nUpdate schedule in deTASO or other software, as directed.\nComplete additional paperwork requirements in an accurate and timely manner as notified by administration. These requirements include, but are not limited to, Early Intervention paperwork (if needed).\nBe available to provide speech therapy services, attend meetings and conferences, and other related duties during the days and hours stipulated in the Team Member Handbook and Therapist Supplement.\nBe available to children and families to ensure continuity of care and proper management of treatment.\nParticipate in all required meetings for professional development and growth.\nParticipate in one-on-ones meeting with leader.\nProvide feedback to administration regarding ways to enhance continued improvement of the company.\nRespond positively to feedback concerning job performance.\nParticipate in Multidisciplinary conferences as needed.\nDemonstrate continued growth in therapeutic skills through learning, knowledge, and application.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. \nWhat you have:\nAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.\nMust be able to work with children birth to age 21 and their families who are at risk.\nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.\nBasic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.\nAbility to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of organization.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\nAbility to maintain regular and punctual attendance.\nAbility to complete tasks in a timely manner.\nEducation/ Certification:\nMeets current state & ASHA requirements to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant by the team member’s state licensing board and credentialing sources.\nMust attain, maintain, and keep documentation for supervision and licensure requirements.\nPhysical Demands: \nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
