from scoping and architecture to high-quality, reliable delivery\n\nDesign and build robust, scalable APIs and distributed systems that power our products and deliver exceptional performance\n\nCollaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and Design teams to translate product ideas into well-architected backend solutions\n\nPush the boundaries of what’s possible with modern backend technologies, driving innovation in both architecture and developer experience\n\nContribute to evolving our backend architecture, infrastructure, and developer tooling to support rapid iteration at scale\n\nProactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and developer experience - and drive those initiatives through to execution\n\nWhat we’re looking for\n5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, ideally in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments\n\nDeep expertise inPython and FastAPI, with a proven track record of building and scaling production systems\n\nExperience designing and implementing APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC) that power user-facing products\n\nStrong experience working with SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling for production systems\n\nFamiliarity with cloud-native architectures, ideally on GCP (e.g. Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, Firestore)\n\nFamiliarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code\n\nFamiliarity with Vertex AI and ML specific infrastructure\n\nStrong communication skills and a high sense of ownership -
