In this role, you will make an immediate impact through your expertise in process improvement, hands-on full cycle accounting, and technical accounting guidance. You will collaborate with all departments across Peek on various special projects.\nResponsibilities\nOversee the month-end and quarter-end close process and serve as one of the primary liaisons with external auditors.\n\nManage and mentor the accounting team, elevating close ownership across staff and senior accountants while stepping in on complex areas.\n\nEvaluate, develop, and strengthen department controls, systems, and procedures in support of a scalable control environment.\n\nOwn technical accounting research and documentation, resolving complex business and technical issues and preparing supporting memorandums.\n\nPartner with the Controller on financial reporting, audit readiness, and accounting policy across all entities.\n\nImplement technology and process improvements to support new business initiatives and a faster, cleaner financial close.\n\nLead projects that contribute significantly to close efficiency and financial system optimization.\n\nManage and monitor all accounting systems used by the organization, including NetSuite.\n\nEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting policies and regulatory standards.\n\nHire, train, motivate, and develop team members while supervising and delegating department work.\n\nSkills you already have\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.\n\nAdvanced degree or CPA certification.\n\n5-7 years of relevant experience.\n\nMinimum of 2 years of experience at a public accounting firm.\n\nProficiency in researching technical accounting matters and preparing memorandums.\n\nStrong knowledge of GAAP principles, including software development and ASC 606.\n\nExperience in process optimization, simplification, and standardization.\n\nFamiliarity with ERP solutions and financial systems; experience with NetSuite preferred.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.\n\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.\n\nEffective leadership and personnel management skills.\n\nNice to have\nExperience working in a high-growth startup.\n\nAbility to work effectively in remote environments.\n\nExperience managing large transactional data sets for accuracy and completeness.\n\nExperience with intercompany accounting for multiple entities.\n\nFamiliarity with multi-currency translations.\n\nPeek Travel Inc. is an equal-opportunity employer.
