This role is essential to delivering consistently exceptional coffee while supporting a safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing environment.\nSchedule: This position works 3rd shift, Monday-Friday from 11:30pm-7:00am.\nHourly Wage: $20-22/hour\nWhat You Will Do:\nAs a Production Technician for roasting, grinding, or packaging, you will process coffee as the production schedule demands.\nEnsures that the assigned workstation operates within the workplace safety and food safety standards set by Peet’s Coffee and oversight regulatory agencies.\nEnsures product quality by completing all Quality Control Point monitoring tasks according to established procedures for the assigned workstation. Completes and submits all quality assurance monitoring tasks for the assigned operating workstation.\nCompletes and submits all production records required for the assigned operating workstation.\nWorks cooperatively to ensure workplace safety and product quality while meeting production goals for the assigned workstation.\nMakes every effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising team safety or product quality.\nCommunicates issues pertinent to production performance, quality, or workplace safety directly to the Roastery Team Lead, Production Supervisor, or Production Manager.\nCommunicates issues concerning equipment faults or failures directly to the Engineering Department for immediate repair or future preventive maintenance.\nAssigns, trains, and monitors daily Production Team Member performance and task completion for the assigned workstation.\nAssigns, trains, and monitors daily Temporary Worker performance and task completion for the assigned workstation.\nMaintains established standards of cleanliness and sanitation for the assigned workstation and the facility.\nParticipates in all workstation development opportunities to increase technical abilities and strengthen craft-level skills.\nDemonstrates a full understanding of all Food Safety and related programs, such as but not limited to GMPs, SSOPs, and Adverse Health Policy.\nDemonstrates a full understanding of all Workplace Safety policies and Standard Work Procedures.\nParticipates in the training of new Team Members to facilitate their success as new Team Members.\nDemonstrates full knowledge to operate one or two Packaging Lines, Roasting machines, or Grinding machine.\nWillingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays\nWho You are\nBrings the Core Values to life in all that you do: Accountability, Mastery, Inclusivity, and Curiosity.\nAbility to work independently and collaborate in a team environment; manage and follow through multi-step project steps/procedures consistently.\nPositive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.\nPerform work in a timely and professional manner.\nAbility to adjust and adapt to change while staying focused on project deliverables\nHighly motivated, self-directed, and results-driven.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills.\nReliable and punctual.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\n1 year of hands-on production experience in a machine technician, machine operator, or production operations leadership role.\nAbility to read, understand, and follow production documentation, work instructions, and safety procedures\n\nBasic proficiency in math, reading, and written communication\n\nBasic computer skills and ability to navigate standard workplace systems\n\nPreferred:\n1 year of coffee industry or food manufacturing experience is strongly desired \n\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements for this position include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours. The target annual base salary range for this position is $20 - $22 per hour.The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
