This position reports to the department supervisor.\nSchedule: 1st Shift (6AM-2:30PM)\nHourly Rate: $21-$23/hour\nLocation: Alameda, CA\nWhat You Will Do:\nAbility to perform all warehouse activities, including but not limited to, pick, pack, ship, receive, put-away, cycle count, and inventory audit. Deliver and execute business initiatives as directed by the leadership team.\n\nSchedule and coordinate deliveries with transportation representatives.\n\nResearch inventory discrepancies for dock and transfers and PO receipts.\n\nAbility to utilize various pieces of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including pallet movers, stand up forklifts, high lift reach trucks, and order pickers.\n\nAbility to utilize RF scanners to electronically perform warehouse activities.\n\nConducts receiving and location audits daily ensuring all required receiving documentation is accurately completed and that material is checked in and stored correctly with a minimum potential for loss.\n\nHigh level proficiency in utilizing PC-based WMS to perform all warehouse activities including, but not limited to, outbound process, inbound process,and inventory control.\n\nProactively communicate with the lead and supervisor regarding associate’s performance and work with the department.\n\nAssistsinassociate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings; maintains on-going interaction; keeps open communication with internal and external channels.\n\nEnsure that all departmental targets as well as quality, execution and standards are met while delegating and prioritizing tasks and responsibilities to the department.\n\nBe a resource for all associates.\n\nWho You Are:\nContinuous standing/walking in a warehouse environment throughout an 8-hourday or more.\n\nPush, pull, squat, bend and reach to stack, carry, lift and pick product throughout an 8-hourday or more.\n\nLifting of 20 lbs., frequently lifting of 25-40 lbs.and occasionally lift 50 lbsor more.\n\nStacking pallets and totes (20-50 lbs) up to 6 feet tall.\n\nWork Environment/Conditions:\nPerson in this position must be available to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overtimeto fulfill business needs.\n\nNoiselevel in this warehouse environment is frequentlyloud.\n\nA strong coffee scent is continuously present in this warehouse environment.\n\nQualifications:\nMust be 18 years old\n\nMust be able to work in Microsoft Suite(Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\n\nAbility to read and follow written instructions accurately in English\n\nMust be willing and able to work overtime as required, even on short notice\n\nProficient in safety procedures\n\nAbility to prioritize and manage time efficiently\n\nStrong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.\n\nMust have or be able to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification (forklift/electric pallet jack).\n\nDemonstrated adherence to Peet’s standards, policies, and procedures.\n\nDemonstrated ability to multitaskand prioritize.\n\nDemonstrated excellent communication and coaching skills.\n\nThis description outlines the role’s essential functions but may evolve with business needs.\nWhat We Offer: \nWe’reproud to offer a comprehensive package for full-time employees, including:\nRecharge Time - Paid vacation, holidays, and sick days.\n\nHealth & Wellness - Medical, dental, and vision coverage.\n\nFuture You - 401(k) plan with generous match program to help you save.\n\nPeace of Mind - Life insurance, disability, and options for HSAs and FSAs.\n\nEveryday Perks - Free coffee, fresh baked goods, and discounts.\n\nGrowth & Support - Career development and an Employee Assistance Program when you need it.\n\nThe target hourly pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hour.
