Provides system and software support and assists in the development of procedures and documentation.\n\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\nProvides administration for the Active Directory System and Windows servers including user access, configuration and setup.\nHelps administer the corporate backup solution, including creation, modification and validation of backup jobs. \nManage the implementation of business-relevant IT projects and initiatives.\nManages vendor relationships for software and hardware, including price negotiations, lease-buyout decisions, system assignments and software capabilities.\nProvides administration for the Pelican email system including user access and setup.\nHandles service requests from management and end-users related to new installations, changes, break/fix, and troubleshooting.\nProvides support to end users with systems and software problems and questions.\nMaintains help desk applications and processes help desk tickets.\nHelps manage the corporate infrastructure monitoring system which includes setup and management of notifications for all global systems.\nDevelops procedures, tutorials, training guides and documentation.\nProactively provides patch management and upgrades to ensure the highest level of support and security.\nFollows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. \nFollows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.\nPerforms additional duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.\nMust be proficient in English and German.\nMust have understanding of GDPR rules.\nMinimum of 5+ years’ experience with Windows operating systems and relevant software packages, including MS Office applications.\nThe ability to manage multiple projects from beginning to completion.\nProficient working with end users in a networked mixed OS client/server environment.\nHighly motivated team player with strong communication skills able to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.\nExperienced with Network/Systems Monitoring Solutions.\nAbility to troubleshoot network, desktops, printers, peripherals, and wireless both OS and hardware.\nMust have the ability to complete assignments within time frame specified by IT Management.\nMust be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously.\nMust be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.\nMust be flexible with work schedules and be available to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.\n\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications\nKnowledge of Czech language would be valued\n\nAdditional Information\nActively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.\nMust be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.\nMust have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.\nMust be flexible regarding working hours.
