If you’re ready to build something that makes a difference, be part of a team that protects what matters most. \n\nWhat You'll Do: \nPelican Products is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III to join our South Deerfield manufacturing team.\nThis is a hands-on, multi-craft maintenance role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and solving problems on the production floor. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, machining, piping, and facility systems to keep our manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently.\nTroubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.\nDiagnose complex equipment problems, determine the extent of repairs needed, and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.\nPerform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs.\nPerform piping, carpentry, painting, sheet metal, and other facility maintenance work as needed.\nConduct preventive maintenance on plant and production equipment, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and scheduled maintenance activities.\nPerform MIG welding and routine machining to repair or fabricate parts as needed.\nIdentify damaged or worn components and determine whether parts should be repaired, fabricated, or replaced.\nInstall and repair water and compressed-air lines.\nComplete major facility repairs, equipment installations, and improvement projects.\nUse hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and machine tools to complete maintenance and repair work.\nRead measurements accurately using Vernier measuring tools, tape measures, and other precision measuring equipment.\nProvide technical guidance and direction to less-experienced maintenance mechanics when needed.\nIdentify and report equipment failures, unsafe conditions, defective materials, and other issues that could impact production.\nMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.\nWork closely with Production, Facilities, other Maintenance team members, and outside contractors to support operational needs.\nWork Schedule - 3rd Shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.\nWhat We’re Looking For: \n3–5 years of industrial maintenance or related experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair experience.\nExperience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.\nExperience performing electrical and general facility maintenance.\nMIG welding experience.\nExperience with basic machining operations.\nStrong knowledge and experience using hand and power tools.\nAbility to diagnose equipment failures, disassemble machinery, determine required repairs, and safely return equipment to operation.\nExperience using measurement tools and understanding measurement techniques and principles.\nAbility to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nBasic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Windows applications.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, and outside contractors.\nMust have your own tools.\n Preferred Qualifications \nExperience working with robotics or automated manufacturing equipment.\nExperience with two-material or multi-component injection molding.\nExperience troubleshooting injection molding processes or equipment.\nAdditional Information \nThis is an onsite position in South Deerfield, Massachusetts.\nFlexibility with work schedules is required based on maintenance and production needs.\nMust be available for overtime, including evenings and weekends, with or without advance notice.\nMust be available for on-call support when necessary.\nActively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Safety, Environment and Quality. \nWhat’s In It For You: \nJoin a company that truly values its employees!
