This individual provides support to Department Managers to resolve ergonomic, training, and other safety issues that arise. The team member’s assigned team and job tasks will vary based on business necessity.\nPay: Starting at $24.75/hr.\nSign-on bonus of $1,500 paid out in two installments at 30 days and 90 days\n1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6am - 3:30pm Friday, 6am - 10am (Overtime on Fridays as needed)\nComply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.\nRegular/dependable attendance required.\nComprehend and apply Pella Corporation environmental and safety policies in a manufacturing or office setting.\nCoach engineers, department managers or others about applying Pella Corporation environmental and safety policies.\nManage the security processes of the plant and its staff.\nSupport environmental and safety recordkeeping requirements where applicable.\nConduct environmental inspections and sampling as assigned.\nFlexibility of work hours including overtime.\nAble to work around moving equipment.\nInvolved in the identification, development, and implementation of company safety programs and strategies.\nIdentify, develop, and coordinate environmental, safety and sustainability training.\nInvolved in the planning, leading, implementing, and follow-up of EHS process improvements.\nAnalyze and follow-up on all work-related safety incidents in the plant and conduct the incident investigation process in conjunction with the functional area manager.\nAnalyze and follow-up on all work-related safety incidents and support the incident investigation process in the plant.\nMaintain all plant safety information and documentation, including chemical review recordkeeping (SDS).\nMaintain current and updated Standard Operating Procedures.\nReview and maintain current PIV licensing processes and training.\nSupport 3rd-party or internal Safety Audits.\nParticipate in and conduct safety team activities, safety audits, and safety inspections.\nManage and maintain assigned EHS SharePoint site/information.\nLead the plant safety committee or safety action team.\nAssist with transporting hazardous waste to storage area as needed.\nManage hazardous waste storage and schedule waste pick-ups accordingly.\nFill out and sign hazardous waste manifests. \nOversee plant fall protection requirements. \n Able to work with minimal supervision.\nBilingual in Spanish and English a plus!
