Must have the ability to think independently while functioning in a team environment.\n3rd Shift Hours: 7:30pm-6:00am, Monday-Thursday\nHourly Wage: $31-35\n ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nRepair, replace, adjust, align, inspect, operate, test and reassemble defective or malfunctioning equipment using hand or power tools.\nPerform routine maintenance and inspect drives, motors and belts to ensure that equipment / systems are operational.\nRepair, replace and/or adjust wear parts.\nFabricate, assemble and install equipment or miscellaneous parts, using hand tools, power tools or welder.\nInserts shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.\nMove machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers and industrial trucks.\nPerform general building, construction and plumbing maintenance and repair work as assigned.\nAssemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical, plumbing, machinery and equipment per Work Orders in a timely manner as assigned.\nMaintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Returning tools to assigned area. Replacing all guards and safety items when work is complete.\nFill in and or assist with training for production and or other maintenance personnel on machine operations and/or adjustments as directed by Supervisor and/or Management.\nComplete Purchase Requisitions for new parts, replacement parts, shutdown items, PM items and turn in to Supervisor for approval.\nComplete the spare parts inventory checkout procedure.\nKnow and adhere to all Policy and Procedures - Hot Works, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, and any Safety Procedures.\nOther duties as assigned.\nKeep supervisor informed of any significant problems or opportunities related to work activity.\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAbility to rotate to other positions as needed\nSupport and participate in Kaizen events and other activities \nOther duties may be assigned\n 4+ years of manufacturing experience\nCall in hours required to repair equipment breakdowns to minimize plant downtime.\nKnowledge of machines including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.\nAbility to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.\nAbility to clearly communicate in both written and oral form.\nBasic welding skills\nBasic Electrical knowledge\nEDUCATION\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent\nSpecialist areas of experience preferred:\nAn AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance\nTwo-year technical training in a mechanical or electrical field preferred or equivalent work experience.\nCOMPETENCIES\nTechnical Capacity\nEthical Conduct\nCommunication Proficiency\nResults Driven\nInitiative\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities\nWORK RELATIONSHIPS (INTERNAL & EXTERNAL)\nINTERNAL\nProduction\nQuality\nSafety\nSupply Chain\nEXTERNAL\nCustomers\nVendors\nSuppliers\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate\nTemperatures within the plant fluctuate based on weather as the plant is not climate controlled\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may lift and/or move items over 100 pounds.
