This role operates in a 24x7x365 managed services delivery model and is accountable for maintaining system stability, performance, availability, and adherence to customer SLAs. \n\nThe engineer will execute operational tasks including event monitoring, incident resolution, backup and recovery, patching, and replication management (e.g., MIMIX, QEDD), while integrating fully with customer ticketing systems, escalation processes, and service delivery frameworks.\n\nEssential Functions:\nProvide 24x7x365 operational support for IBM Power i systems \nWork in ticketing system to accept and resolve customer IBM i Operational tickets\nExperience with using monitoring or automation tools like Halcyon\nMonitor system health, performance, and availability\nExecute incident management and troubleshooting activities\nPerform event management and service request fulfillment\nAdminister backup and recovery operations\nMonitor PTF update progress\nManage Job Scheduler and Job Queue Tasks\nMonitor and respond to system message queues\nSupport HA/DR replication tools such as MIMIX, Itera, and QED\nParticipate in DR testing exercises\nIntegrate with customer ticketing systems and service desks\nDocument operational procedures and runbooks\nCreate work instructions for future team use\nMIMIX, Itera, and/or QEDD administrative experience\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities/Competencies\nIBM i (iSeries / OS/400) experience \nHA/DR technologies (MIMIX, QEDD) \nIBM i Access client Solutions experience \nIBM i BRMS experience including physical and virtual tape libraries \nStrong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly document issues and communicate with technical and non-technical users \nITIL process knowledge \nStrong troubleshooting skills \nAbility to work in 24x7 environments\n\nEducation and Experience:\n3–7+ years IBM Power i experience \nManaged services experience preferred \nDegree in IT or equivalent experience\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at
