Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations, the Technician supports the safe and reliable transportation of products on the Cochin Pipeline through inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.\nBased at Pembina's Wheaton, Minnesota Pump Station, this position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic operations environment while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of west-central Minnesota and eastern North Dakota. As part of Pembina’s Transmission & Extraction Operation Division, the asset is focused on delivering safe, reliable, and efficient operations while supporting customers through industry-leading pipeline infrastructure and a strong commitment to operational integrity and environmental stewardship.\nThe Transmission & Extraction Operations assets are responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant transportation and extraction of hydrocarbons across Pembina’s integrated pipeline and facilities network. The asset delivers critical connectivity between upstream supply and downstream markets while maintaining a strong focus on asset integrity, operational discipline, and regulatory excellence.\n\nAnticipated pay range of $40.00 to $45.00 per hour. Final compensation will be based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.\n Responsibilities may include but not limited to:\nChampion Pembina’s Zero by Choice safety culture and Life Saving Rules by embedding physical, psychological, and cyber safety into all work practices while taking personal accountability to maintain compliance, support audit readiness, proactively identify risks, and protect our people, assets, and data;\nWill work as part of a team with primary role as a technician, assisting in pump station and meter station operations, and other trades when and where needed;\nRoutine pipeline operations and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting failures, repair of pump/meter station mechanical equipment, electrical troubleshooting and repair, and various tasks and projects;\nLocating and marking Cochin facilities per Pembina's Damage Prevention Program and One­ Call procedures prior to and during excavation;\nEnsure all maintenance and operations duties are completed safely, in compliance with Pembina's procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;\nProvide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities;\nParticipate in a 7-day on-call rotation responding as required to equipment and/or operational problems;\nOccasional overnight travel will be required;\nAbility and willingness to work overtime on an as needed basis;\nMaintain safe and reliable operations of the facilities;\nAble to work in teams effectively and encourage a positive work environment;\nAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fire resistant clothing, heeled safety-toe boots, and hearing protection);\nCommunicates safety issues to Managers and Safety Department;\nEffective decision-making skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;\nA willingness and desire to work outdoors;\nAny other duties assigned by Supervisor; and\nParticipate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.\nQualifications:\n2+ years’ work experience, with in the energy industry preferred;\nHands-on experience with various computer applications;\nStrong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;\nSelf-motivated, ability to work under limited supervision;\nAbility to work well in a team coupled with a proven track record of success of positively interfacing with Field, Engineering, and Technical Support personnel;\nAbility to perform and direct safe and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment;\nResults oriented with a flexible & adaptable approach to change; and\nPossess a valid driver's license.\nSchedule and Rotation for the Operations Technician:\n Week 1: Monday - Thursday 0700-1630(9 hrs.), Friday 0700-1530(8 hrs.)\nWeek 2: Monday - Thursday 0700-1630(9 hrs.), Friday Off\n\nPembina offers competitive compensation (base plus incentive bonus), a comprehensive benefits program including 401(k), competitive health benefits including Parental Leave - up to 12 weeks of paid leave for eligible employees, flexible work arrangements for applicable positions, and tuition reimbursement in a work environment that is based on mutual respect, honesty, and integrity.\nThis “Safety-Sensitive” position requires successful completion of Pre-Employment screening, which may include a Background check, Drug and Alcohol Testing (including marijuana metabolites), a Fit-For-Duty assessment, and verification of a valid driver's license.\n\nMust live within 60 miles of Wheaton, MN.\nThe successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
