Working for Pembina means working safely.\n Overview:\nAs part of the Operations Division for Pembina, the Engineering & Construction Unit provides Project Development, Project Execution, and Project Enablement services in support of the following Asset Teams:\nPembina Gas Infrastructure Inc. (PGI)\nTransportation & Fractionation\nTransmission & Extraction\nThe E&C Team is actively hiring a Project Engineer. Reporting to the Manager of Pipelines Project Development, the Project Engineer will support the advancement of growth opportunities across Pembina’s pipeline systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, Regulatory, Land, Environmental, and Indigenous Relations, as well as external engineering and construction partners, to develop safe, reliable, and value-driven infrastructure solutions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support the ongoing growth and optimization of Pembina's energy transportation and processing assets while gaining exposure to all aspects of project development and delivery.\nAs part of Pembina's Engineering & Construction (E&C) organization, the Project Development group identifies and advances strategic growth opportunities across the company's pipeline and energy infrastructure network. The team leads projects through the early stages of development, from concept and feasibility through Pre-FEED and FEED, delivering execution-ready solutions that align technical, commercial, operational, regulatory, environmental, and stakeholder requirements. Working closely with Asset Teams and cross-functional partners, the group develops investment recommendations and project strategies that support Pembina's long-term growth and infrastructure expansion.\nResponsibilities may include but not limited to:\nChampion Pembina’s Zero by Choice safety culture and Life Saving Rules by embedding physical, psychological, and cyber safety into all work practices while taking personal accountability to maintain compliance, support audit readiness, proactively identify risks, and protect our people, assets, and data; \nWork as part of an integrated team responsible for defining and advancing development opportunities from initial concept through to the Pre-FEED/FEED phase and delivering execution-ready projects;\nCollaborate with an interdisciplinary team to contribute to ongoing planning as well cost and schedule estimating for the overall execution of pipeline infrastructure projects;\nEvaluate design alternatives to address complex business opportunities and optimize distribution assets to maximize value for Pembina; \nSupport multiple project scopes which will include the technical oversight of third-party engineering firms, construction specialists, civil survey contractors, and progression of project delivery through the respective Stage Gates of Pembina’s Project Delivery Governance Lifecycle;\nCollaborate and coordinate with other internal teams to identify and outline all applicable regulatory, land, Indigenous, and environmental applications related to the proposed construction of pipelines and related facilities;\nEnsure that projects satisfy all safety, technical, operational, commercial, maintenance, and quality requirements as defined in applicable specifications, standards, and practices; and\nPromote a diverse and inclusive work environment.\n Qualifications:\nA Professional Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent professional status and registered with APEGA;\n5-10 years relevant project engineering experience, including pipeline and pipeline facility design, cost estimating, schedule development, and technical writing;\nField experience with pipeline (transmission and gathering) and pipeline facility (pump/compressor stations, LACTs, meter sites) construction is considered an asset;\nMust be familiar with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 design requirements for pipelines and infrastructure facilities as well as other applicable regulatory agency guidelines and policies;\nProficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);\nStrong communication and attention to detail, with the ability to deliver clear messaging to multidisciplinary teams, while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset;\nDriven, results-oriented individual who naturally takes responsibility for setting the standard and achieving results within a continuously changing environment; and\nAn analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong business insight and an understanding of how to recognize opportunities for value creation.\nPembina’s Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Fridays .\nThe successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position.
