This role provides critical research, coordination, tracking, and administrative support to the Director of Business Development and Director of Development, ensuring opportunities and projects advance efficiently from initial site identification through permitting and project execution.\nThe Development Associate serves as a key operational resource by managing recurring research, documentation, project tracking, and stakeholder coordination activities, allowing senior leadership to focus on strategic decision-making, negotiations, client relationships, and project execution.\nWork hours:9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST or 9:00 PM - 6: 00 AM Manila time\nWork set-up: Remote\nWhat you’ll do\nProperty Sourcing & Screening: Conduct property searches using industry tools (such as Co-Star, Loopnet, and Prexy) to identify viable sites based on specific client criteria; maintain active pipeline and opportunity trackers.\n\nSite Feasibility & Zoning Research: Research local municipal zoning rules, land-use regulations, and outdoor storage allowances to perform preliminary site feasibility analyses.\n\nPermitting & Entitlement Support:Build and maintain permit matrices; proactively track submittals, agency contacts, feedback, and deadlines across multiple jurisdictions.\n\nProject Tracking & Bid Analysis:Coordinate project schedules and milestones; organize contractor responses and input critical bidding data into analytical trackers.\n\nStakeholder Coordination:Manage communication flow and documentation between internal teams, consultants, brokers, and municipal contacts.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nProperty sourcing, research, and acquisition support\n\nSite screening, feasibility analysis, and market research\n\nDue diligence coordination and tracking\n\nEntitlement and permitting support\n\nProject tracking, scheduling, and milestone management\n\nMunicipal and consultant coordination\n\nDocumentation management and reporting\n\nInternal team coordination and communication\n\nProcess improvement and administrative support\n\nMarket intelligence and business development support\n\nWhat You Bring\n2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate, development, acquisitions, project coordination, planning, engineering, construction management, or a related field\n\nExperience in commercial, industrial, or land development preferred\n\nStrong understanding of zoning, land use, entitlement, and development processes preferred\n\nExperience coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines\n\nStrong research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project tracking software\n\nExperience with GIS, mapping tools, or real estate research platforms is a plus\n\nBachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Planning, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred\n\nOur Hiring Process\nWe utilize AI tools to enhance hiring efficiency and ensure a fair evaluation.
