It is being designed around the real estate sales funnel, with AI-powered WhatsApp conversations, AI voice, lead scoring, workflow automation and advertising intelligence built into the system.\n\nThe product is already being built and is currently being tested with a real estate pilot client.\n\nWe are now looking for a senior engineer who can take ownership of the existing codebase and help take it from AI-assisted development into a robust, production-ready SaaS product.\n\nWhat you'll be doing\nTake ownership of an existing Next.js + TypeScript codebase.\nUnderstand the existing architecture, database structure, APIs and application flows.\nConduct a thorough engineering review and identify production, security, scalability and reliability risks.\nRefactor and improve the code where required rather than blindly rewriting the system.\nBuild and maintain production-quality frontend and backend features.\nDesign and maintain APIs, database models and integrations.\nWork on a multi-tenant SaaS architecture where each real estate brand has its own workspace and data isolation.\nWork closely with AI/LLM-powered features including chat, voice and lead intelligence.\nWork on WhatsApp Business API integrations, webhooks and messaging infrastructure.\nBuild reliable automation and workflow functionality.\nImplement proper authentication, authorization, data isolation, logging, monitoring and error handling.\nHelp establish engineering standards, testing and deployment practices.\nEventually build and lead the engineering team as X.re scales.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nWe are looking for someone who has strong engineering judgment, not someone who simply knows a list of technologies.\n\nYou should be able to:\nEnter an unfamiliar codebase and understand it quickly.\nIdentify what is well designed and what is technically risky.\nTake an MVP and turn it into production-grade software.\nMake pragmatic architectural decisions.\nThink about security, scalability, reliability and maintainability.\nWork independently and take ownership.\nRead and review code generated or assisted by AI.\nKnow when AI-generated code is acceptable and when it needs to be redesigned.\nBuild rather than just manage developers.\n\nTechnical requirements\nStrong experience with:\nTypeScript\nNext.js / React\nNode.js\nREST APIs\nPostgreSQL / SQL\nModern SaaS application architecture\nCloud deployment\nGit and production development workflows\n\nExperience with the following is a strong advantage:\nAI/LLM applications\nWhatsApp Business API\nWebhooks\nMulti-tenant SaaS\nAPI integrations\nDocker\nAWS or similar cloud platforms\nCI/CD\nObservability and production monitoring\n\nOne important thing\nThis is not a greenfield project.\nThe existing product has been built significantly with AI-assisted development.\nWe are specifically looking for an engineer who is comfortable inheriting an existing codebase, understanding it deeply, challenging its assumptions, fixing what needs fixing, and taking responsibility for making it production-ready.\nYou will not be expected to rewrite everything just because it wasn't originally written by you.\nWhy this role is different\nYou won't just be implementing tickets.\n\nYou'll have significant influence over:\nEngineering architecture\nProduction readiness\nTechnical standards\nInfrastructure\nAI integration strategy\nProduct engineering decisions\nFuture engineering team structure\n\nIf things go well, this role can grow into Head of Engineering / CTO-level ownership as X.re scales.\nLocation\n\nHyderabad preferred.
