We are seeking a motivated and customer service oriented PBX Operator to handle all communications and guest requests in a positive and professional manner.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nJob duties include; although are not limited to:\nAnswering and processing all incoming/outgoing guest and in-house calls\nProviding prompt and courteous switchboard services to our guests, including message taking when necessary\nForwarding messages and faxes as needed to guests and various departments\nAnswering basic inquiries for guests in a courteous and efficient manner\nRemaining aware of daily events, restaurant, entertainment, and special events in local area\nEnsuring wake up calls are properly monitored and are promptly placed within parameters of hotel policies and standards\nManaging 3-4 calls per minute\nPosting appropriate telephone charges when required\nAdhering to safety regulations and emergency procedures\nActively coordinating communications within the hotel, including emergency procedure, alarms, life safety, and more\nAssisting the front desk with miscellaneous tasks such as filing, copying, and word processing when necessary\nPerforming any other job related duties as assigned\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nPrevious communications or switchboard experience preferred\nClear and effective verbal and written communication skills required\nMust be willing and able to multi-task\nBasic knowledge of computers and computer-aided research required\nMust have excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nMost work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours a day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.\nThe pay scale for PBX Agent is $22.00.\nThe pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.\nIn the United States we are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V.
