This role will oversee the monthly close process for our Home Health and Hospice segment, support external reporting requirements, and partner closely with accounting leaders to develop and execute the strategic vision of the accounting function.\nThe ideal candidate is both a strong technical accountant and an innovative leader who seeks opportunities to modernize processes, enhance scalability, and build a high-performing team capable of supporting a growing publicly traded organization\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nManage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process while serving as the primary accounting partner for assigned locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies\nEnsure financial statements are prepared accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP\nAssist with external audit activities, including annual audits and quarterly reviews, and serve as a key liaison for audit requests and documentation\nMaintain compliance with SOX requirements and internal control standards\nLead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a high-performing and engaged team\nEstablish clear performance expectations and promote accountability and continuous improvement\nFoster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and professional development\nPartner with the Controller and Assistant Controller to define and execute the strategic direction of the accounting department\nDevelop scalable processes, policies, and controls that support the company's growth objectives\nEvaluate existing workflows and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency\nPrepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring account balances are accurate, adequately supported, and resolved in a timely manner\nOversee the journal entry process, including the preparation of complex journal entries and the review and approval of entries prepared by others, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adequate support, and compliance with internal control requirements\nAssist in the preparation and review of internal and external financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery\nBuild strong relationships with field leaders and serve as a trusted financial partner, providing insights and recommendations that support organizational goals and operational excellence\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and proven ability to apply technical accounting principles\n4+ Years of Experience in a Corporate or Public Accounting setting\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment\nExperience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills\nTeam player with the ability to work independently and manage a team\nStrong understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial results\nIntermediate/Advanced in Microsoft Excel\nProficient with other Microsoft Office Suite programs\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization\nPreferences:\nHealthcare industry experience, including familiarity with multi-location operations and healthcare financial reporting\nCPA license\nExperience leading process improvement and automation initiatives\nExperience partnering with operational and field leadership\nLocation: Hybrid, Eagle, ID\nCompensation: Depending on Experience\nWhy Join Us? \nSomething else that sets us apart from other companies is the quality of our most valuable resources - our people!
