This role serves as the technical subject matter expert for the Workday platform, partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and third-party vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.\nThe HRIS Senior Analyst leads the development of complex inbound and outbound integrations, Workday Studio solutions, BIRT document generation, APIs, and custom applications using Workday Extend. This position plays a key role in system modernization, integration strategy, data architecture, and automation initiatives that support organizational growth and operational excellence.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, develop, deploy, and maintain complex Workday integrations using Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, APIs, and web services.\nLead the architecture and development of scalable integration solutions between Workday and external systems including payroll, benefits, finance, identity management, recruiting, and third-party vendors.\nBuild and support custom applications using Workday Extend to enhance business processes and improve user experience.\nDesign, develop, and maintain BIRT documents, generated documents, and custom templates within Workday.\nDevelop, test, and support Workday API solutions utilizing REST, SOAP, RaaS, and Workday Web Services.\nCreate and maintain advanced calculated fields, custom reports, composite reports, and data extracts required for integrations and business operations.\nLead integration troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization activities.\nEstablish integration monitoring processes and proactively resolve production issues.\nPartner with business stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.\nSupport Workday releases by analyzing technical impacts, testing integrations, and implementing enhancements.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, architecture diagrams, and support procedures.\nEnsure compliance with security standards, SOX controls, data privacy requirements, and audit processes.\nCollaborate with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and application teams to support broader technology initiatives.\nDrive automation and process improvement opportunities through system integrations, custom applications, and workflow optimization.\nMentor team members and provide technical leadership on Workday development best practices.\nMaintain confidentiality and security of employee, payroll, and business data.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)\nRequired\nBachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.\n5+ years of Workday technical experience with a focus on integrations and application development.\nHands-on experience developing complex Workday Studio integrations.\nStrong experience building and supporting EIBs, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and Workday Web Services.\nExperience designing and maintaining BIRT documents and custom document-generation solutions.\nStrong knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, XSLT, JSON, and integration architecture principles.\nExperience with Workday Reporting, Calculated Fields, RaaS, and data extraction solutions.\nStrong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.\nExperience supporting integrations with payroll providers, benefits vendors, finance systems, and other enterprise applications.\nUnderstanding of security best practices, data governance, and audit controls.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to functional and business stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred\nExperience with Workday Extend application architecture and deployment lifecycle.\nExperience with Workday Orchestrate.\nExperience with Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, or other enterprise middleware platforms.\nExperience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and large-scale Workday implementations.\nWorkday certifications in Studio, Integrations, Extend, or related technical disciplines.\nExperience in SOX-regulated environments.\nLocation: Remote\nThe above statements are only meant to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
