This role has primary responsibilities including assisting and performing duties alongside press crew members as directed. The role will extend to the efficient movement of materials throughout the plant, utilizing mobile powered equipment to ensure seamless workflow. In addition to supporting press operations, the Utility role plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This includes the provision of various supplies to different departments and the timely disposal of waste by emptying trash as directed. Adaptability, attention to detail, and willingness to collaborate will be key attributes in contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our manufacturing processes.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssists pack and press team as needed\nLoads and unloads trucks as needed\nOperates mobile powered equipment in a safe and efficient manner moving supplies and material throughout the plant\nMust attend and pass Forklift Operators Safety course\nEmpties trash containers as needed\nEmpties scrap hoppers\nMakes sure forklift is maintained in a safe working order. Reports any defects to Foreman or Supervisor. Completes preventative maintenance and corresponding paperwork as directed\nReplaces propane bottle refueling mobile powered equipment as needed. Places empty propane bottle in the proper area\nCompletes any paperwork required by the position\nAssists with maintaining a neat and orderly plant, ensuring aisle ways are kept clear\nPerforms general housekeeping duties as directed\nFollows company rules and regulations regarding work and safety practices\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nIdeal Candidate Will Have:\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent \nExperience\nOne or more years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nOther Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals\nAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance\nAbility to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
