The General Manager directs and coordinates activities of Pennex Leetonia Operations by managing the engineering, operations, maintenance, safety, and quality teams. This position works with the President, Manufacturing and the executive team to formulate and administer operational plans to ensure the growth opportunities and business objectives are met to achieve operational excellence and delight the customer.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for business performance for the asset base at the Leetonia facility.\nCoordinates the activities of the Leetonia Leadership team which is responsible for such activities as setting plant objectives as well as creating corrective and preventative actions.\nWorks with sales to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth.\nDevelops the leadership team to create a culture of team work and actively engage the team to leverage strengths and achieve business objectives, develop site specific policies, and establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.\nAssists in the developing and implementing of strategic plans by studying the market conditions and financial opportunities, presenting assumptions and making recommendations.\nReviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.\nDevelops Capital Asset requests and implements projects to improve operations to maximize returns on investments and to increase productivity.\nChampions safety culture by actively engaging employees at all levels at a zero-harm philosophy and works with EHS Director to create vision for achieving this goal.\nProvides leadership for the Quality team to ensure the highest level of quality standards to maintain customer satisfaction and IATF16949 requirements.\nConfers with customers on the development of products and customer service required to delight the customer.\nDevelops partnerships with outside processors and businesses to support customer demands and compliment the extrusion products developed and produced.\nReviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of business.\nWorks with Sales leadership to develop annual forecast and provide budget for annual operating plan to meet the business objectives.\nReviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives\nThis position will serve as a key member of the Pennex leadership team, reporting directly to the President of Pennex.\nKey accountabilities for this role are defined as follows:Site Safety \nP&L\nCustomer Satisfaction \nOperating Metrics \nAsset Utilization\nEmployee Engagement \nOrganization Development\n\nThis role will play an active role within the community, working with local charities, supporting local councils and networking with our local business and government officials.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nIdeal Candidate Will Have:\nEducation\nBachelor's degree is required.
