In this role, you’ll be scheduling production and ensuring on-time finished product delivery. The Production Scheduler reviews metal needs, orders and tracks delivery status from internal customers.\nResponsibilities\nSchedules production for various departments throughout the plant. \nReviews, modifies, and updates production schedules daily based on customer inquiries, collaboration with leadership, and availability of material. \nCoordinates and communicates with other locations \nCorresponds with customer service on schedule changes and production challenges.\nCoordinates with shipping regarding load completions and carrier pickups.\nReviews daily Interplant Transfer Reports to determine priority of material needed from extrusion suppliers. \nReviews inventory levels to ensure raw material is available to meet production schedule. Responsible for inventory control. \nTracks material from extrusion suppliers daily and communicates issues to keep production schedules. \nWorks with department leads to review production issues and make schedule adjustments as necessary to meet customer requirements. \nWorks with ERP system to determine capacity requirements and work with customer service to ensure accurate customer delivery acknowledgements.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. \n1 to 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling and monitoring in a manufacturing environment is required.\n3 to 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling and monitoring in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel experience required.\nKnowledge of ERP Systems.\nExperience with inventory control is required. \nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nExperience working in manufacturing and/or warehouse environment required.\nDemonstrated knowledge of scheduling multi-constraint production flows. \nExperience with lean manufacturing is preferred.\nAbility to influence. \nWork independently and as part of a team. \nAbility to problem solve and think outside of the box.\nA desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment with short lead times.\nHighly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills.\nAttentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments.\nFlexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately.\nStrong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.\nMust possess strong written communication skills.
