pricing negotiations within a manufacturing or food production environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nPurchasing & Procurement\nOversee all purchasing and procurement activities to support daily manufacturing and operational needs.\n\nDevelop and implement purchasing strategies that align with production schedules, quality standards, and company objectives.\n\nSource, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.\n\nManage purchase orders, supplier agreements, and procurement documentation.\n\nEnsure timely delivery of raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and other production necessities.\n\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.\n\nPricing & Contract Negotiations\nLead pricing negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and optimal contract conditions.\n\nAnalyze supplier quotes, market trends, and cost fluctuations to support strategic purchasing decisions.\n\nNegotiate long-term supplier agreements and establish pricing structures that support budgetary goals.\n\nMonitor commodity prices and identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.\n\nBuild and maintain strong supplier partnerships while ensuring competitive purchasing practices.\n\nInventory Management & Control\nOversee inventory levels of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and other essential supplies.\n\nEstablish and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize waste, shortages, and excess stock.\n\nCollaborate with production, warehouse, and planning teams to forecast material requirements.\n\nMonitor inventory turnover, stock levels, expiration dates, and reorder points.\n\nEnsure proper rotation of perishable materials using FIFO (First In, First Out) and applicable food safety practices.\n\nImplement inventory tracking systems and reporting procedures to improve accuracy and operational efficiency.\n\nIdentify and address inventory discrepancies, obsolete stock, and potential supply chain disruptions.\n\nSupplier & Vendor Management\nEvaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, reliability, service, and delivery timelines.\n\nConduct regular supplier reviews and address performance issues as needed.\n\nDevelop contingency plans to reduce risks associated with supply shortages and vendor disruptions.\n\nEnsure suppliers meet company requirements for food safety, quality, and applicable regulatory standards.\n\nMaintain accurate vendor records and purchasing documentation.\n\nBudgeting & Cost Control\nManage purchasing budgets and monitor spending against established financial targets.\n\nPrepare purchasing reports, cost analyses, and inventory performance metrics.\n\nIdentify opportunities to reduce operating expenses and improve overall procurement efficiency.\n\nWork closely with finance and operations teams to support forecasting and financial planning.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with production, quality assurance, warehouse, logistics, and finance departments to ensure seamless operations.\n\nCoordinate purchasing activities with production schedules and demand forecasts.\n\nCommunicate material availability, supplier issues, and potential production risks to management.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, inventory, and supply chain operations.\n\nQualifications & Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field preferred.\n\n5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in food manufacturing or a manufacturing environment.\n\nDemonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract management.\n\nStrong knowledge of inventory control, demand planning, and purchasing processes.\n\nExperience working with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel.\n\nKnowledge of food manufacturing operations, raw materials, packaging, and food safety requirements.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nStrong leadership and vendor relationship management skills.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nPurchasing cost savings and negotiated pricing improvements.\n\nInventory accuracy and inventory turnover.\n\nSupplier on-time delivery and
