This work requires expertlevel knowledge of the applicable housing programs and a very high degree of attention to detail. TheCompliance Auditor will maintain open communication with site staff, operations staff, and otherPennrose staff to ensure that the compliance responsibilities and requirements of each applicableprogram are met on a continuous basis. The Compliance Auditor is charged with protecting Pennroseassets by ensuring that each property within their portfolio remains compliant at all times.\nPay range: $70,000 - $80,000/year depending on experience.\nResponsibilities\nReview and approve all move in files and recertification files for accuracy and compliancewith the applicable housing programs.\nProvide feedback and training to those who prepare files in areas where deficiencies mayexist with the goal of eliminating repeated deficiencies.\nAccurately prepare and timely submit on a timely basis all reports requested and requiredfor state housing agencies, HUD, investors, and others as applicable.\nPrepare, maintain and distribute a rent matrix for each property in the portfolio when due.\nMaintain Yardi information with respect to updates to income limits, maximum rents,utility allowances and ensure that each unit is accurately described.\nCollaborate with the Regional Property Manager and VP of Operations to ensure that eachproperty maintains a current and accurate utility allowance, as applicable.\nBe open and available to answer questions from PM’s, RPM’s, VP’s and others with regardto compliance related issues providing consistent and accurate guidance.\nDevelop and maintain positive relationship with state agency, HUD reps, investors, andothers.\nAttend State Agency compliance reviews as possible.\nConduct on site file reviews and train staff as part of each visit.\nWork with operations staff to ensure rent maximization practices are being followed whileconfirming that rents charged are compliant with the applicable programs.\nReport weekly to the VP of Compliance providing detail of activity and tasks at hand as wellas problems, concerns, and recommendations for improvement.\nPrepare and submit all reports required by state agency, HUD, investors, and others.\nComplete any other compliance related duty or responsibility as requested by VP ofCompliance.\nQualifications\nPerforms timely and accurate responses to move in and recertification file submissions\nCompletes all required reporting accurately and submits by deadline\nCommunicates professionally, promptly, and effectively\nEnsures satisfaction in responses, communication, and file completion from colleagues\nPossesses and demonstrates the ability to assist and provide guidance in problem solving\nProfessionalism -
