For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see Notice to Out of State Applicants.\nJOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS\nThe Sonar Research and Development Division (SRDD) of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) is seeking undergraduate student interns. The SRDD is providing technical expertise to the government in all aspects of SONAR technologies.\nTypical duties may include:\nSupport piezoelectric material processing\nCharacterization, production and procurement for fleet transducers\nSupport for transducer modeling, fabrication, and documentation\nSupport for acoustic testing, data analysis, and data display. \nMultiple opportunities exist for undergraduate students to support this effort. The successful candidate will work up to 20 hours/week during the fall and spring semesters and 40 hours/week over the summer.\nThis is a paid internship located at ARL’s Freeport facility; relocation and housing are not provided.\nCandidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
