This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.\nWhy is Penske Logistics for you?\nWe take pride in offering a competitive wage and great benefits including:\nPay: $21.50 + $1.00 per hour shift differential\nSchedule: Monday- Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am\nWeekends and OT as required by business needs\nAdditional Benefits:\nPaid Time Off\nMedical Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401K\nAssociate Referral Program\n$125 Boot allowance after 90-days of employment\nOur associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization!\nJob Responsibilities:\nResponsible for completing counts, random audits, and reconciliations\nInspecting in bound parts for quantity and quality issues\nPhysically and systematically placing inbound freight - at times process may deviate \nResolve inventory problems in a timely manner\nResearch and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product\nConduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory\nEscalates issues timely and directly to supervisor\nHave the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment: Reach Truck, Pallet Jack (electrical or manual), Cherry Picker\nPicking/packing parts in a manner to ensure accuracy and prevent damage - at times process may deviate\nAccurately match numbers & letters\nFollow all safety requirements\nStage and sort products for loading\nOpens and closes dock doors\nMaintain a clean and safe work area\nSorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas\nStacks cardboard boxes and pallets\nMove materials within the warehouse\nScanning & counting parts \nCompletes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor\n\nPhysical Demands\nRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to reach, work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment\nRegularly lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds\nQualifications:\n2 years of general office experience required\n1 year of inventory and cycle counting experience required\n1 year of customer service experience required\nStrong counting skills & ability to pay attention to detail\nPrior warehouse experience strongly preferred.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\nProficient reading and counting skills and ability to follow directions as required\nAbility to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required\nFlexible to work overtime preferred\nAdvanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required\nAble to enter orders in scanners and PC software.\nRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job\nWork the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.\nThis position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
