You will work closely with Operations Supervisors to help ensure productivity, quality, and safety expectations are consistently met. The Lead Warehouse Worker is responsible for coordinating workflow, supporting team performance, and carrying out a variety of operational duties to help achieve departmental goals and maintain efficient warehouse operations.\nPay:\n$23.50 base pay, plus $1.00 shift differential totaling $24.50 per hour.\nSchedule: Wednesday to Saturday 3:00 PM until finished\nAdditional Benefits:\n$1500 Retention bonus after 90-days of employment\nPaid Time Off\nMedical Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401K\nAssociate Referral Program\n$125 Boot allowance after 90-days of employment\nOur associates also enjoy numerous associate discounts and opportunities to grow with the organization!\nThis is aCOLD storage facility ranging between 28-55 degrees.\nMajor Responsibilities:\nJob requirements may include the following where applicable:\nMonitor workflow throughout the shift, proactively identify operational issues, resolve problems, and adjust priorities to maintain efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.\nServe as a resource for associates by answering questions, providing training, supporting conflict resolution, and stepping into frontline warehouse roles as needed to ensure customer commitments are met.\nOperate powered industrial equipment, including stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks (EPJ), to move, stage, load, unload, and store materials safely and efficiently.\nLead and support a team of warehouse associates by providing daily direction, coaching, and coverage to ensure productivity, safety, and operational goals are achieved.\nPromote and lead safe work practices by maintaining a clean work environment, following all company safety policies, and supporting food safety and quality requirements where applicable.\nAssist with opening and running the shift, including conducting shift huddles in the absence of the Operations Supervisor, communicating priorities, and providing timely updates on attendance and operational performance.\nCross-train in multiple warehouse functions during the first 90 days, with the ability to perform and provide coverage for roles such as order selector, forklift operator, sanitation, and clerk as business needs require.\nPerform additional operational, administrative, and leadership responsibilities as assigned to support business needs, including covering for other leads or supervisors during absences and ensuring all daily work is completed before the end of the shift.\nOther projects and tasks assigned by supervisor\nQualifications:\n2 years of warehouse experience required\n2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred\n1 years of supervisory experience required\nBilingual English and Spanish (Preferred)\nHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred\nPrior forklift experience required\nBasic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred\nAbility to learn and use proprietary software required\nFlexible to work overtime required\nAbility to work in a cold storage environment required\nAbility to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.\nRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.\nWillingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.\nComplete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.\nThis position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
