This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment.\nThe Lead Warehouse Worker provides support and some supervision to regular and temporary warehouse associate functions. Works closely with Operations Supervisors to ensure employee productivity expectations are met. Provides a variety of responsibilities to meet the supervisors' expectations.\nSchedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM\nOvertime as required by business needs\nPay: $24.50 per hour + 1.00 shift differential = $25.50/hr\nMajor Responsibilities:\nLead a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational goals while championing safety and productivity \nExecutes assignments, provides status updates, & project visibility to Operations Supervisor(s)\nOperate forklifts, counterbalance, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed\nStage and sort products; loads and unloads trailers\nStack totes, and/or pallets; move materials within the warehouse\nElectronically scan products using a warehouse management system\nQuality control; ensure damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received\nComplete daily logs and communicate with associates from other shifts or departments\nRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs\nReads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be loaded/unloaded\nUses computer to enter data and maintains inventory records as needed\nOpens and closes dock doors\nMaintain a clean and safe work area\nOther projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor\n Qualifications:\n4 years of warehouse experience required\n2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred\n2 years of supervisory experience preferred\nHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred\nPrior forklift certification preferred\nBasic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred\nAbility to learn and use proprietary software required\nFlexible to work overtime preferred\nAbility to work in non-climate controlled conditions\nAbility to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.\nRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.\nWillingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.\nThis position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
