Provides a variety of responsibilities to meet the supervisors expectations.\nPay: $ 24.00/ hr Plus a $1.00 Shift Differential\nSchedule: Monday to Friday 1:30pm to 10:00pm\nAdditional Benefits:\nPaid Time Off\nMedical Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401K\nAssociate Referral Program\n$125 Boot allowance after 90-days of employment\nMajor Responsibilities:\nJob requirements may include the following where applicable:\nStage and sort products for loading\nLoads and unloads trailers\nExecutes & provides process & project visibility to Operations Supervisor\nExpert in warehouse functions\nLeads & complies with Safety and Well Being efforts on assigned shift\nOpens and closes dock doors\nMaintain a clean and safe work area\nSorts and places parts in racks or other designated areas\nPulling of manual dock chain\nStacks cardboard boxes and pallets\nMove materials within the warehouse\nPackage or kit finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)\nElectronically scan products using a warehouse management system\nQuality control\nEnsure damaged products are sent out and identify damaged products when received\nComplete daily logs\nCommunicate with associates from other shifts\nAttach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information\nRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs\nRecord numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets\nAssemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber\nPack containers and re-pack damaged containers\nReads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed\nSorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms\nFills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line\nAssembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department\nWeighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards\nUses computer to enter records\nPrepares parcels for mailing\nMaintains inventory records\nOperate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)\nOperate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment (where applicable)\nOther projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor\nQualifications:\n4 years of warehouse experience required\n2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred\n2 years of supervisory experience preferred\nHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred\nPrior forklift certification preferred\nBasic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred\nAbility to learn and use proprietary software required\nFlexible to work overtime preferred\nAbility to work in non-climate controlled conditions\nAbility to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.\nRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.\nWillingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.\nThis position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
