Do you have what IT takes?\nSummary\nThe Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, testing, deploying, and supporting Salesforce platform solutions that meet business and technical requirements. This role partners with business stakeholders, Salesforce administrators, internal IT teams, offshore development teams, Salesforce Support, and third-party AppExchange partners to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce capabilities.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nAs a Salesforce Developer, you will be part of a team that develops our next-generation applications while enhancing and supporting our existing Salesforce ecosystem. You will take a leading technical role - working closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and architects to translate complex requirements into scalable technical designs, implement solutions, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. You will also guide junior developers, influence platform standards, and drive optimization efforts across the Salesforce environment.\nResponsibilities\nAct as the primary point of contact and lead support resource for multiple Salesforce modules/processes, resolving business user issues in a timely manner. \nTranslate complex business requirements into technical designs; develop and implement related components and modules on the Salesforce platform. \nLead requirements and solution design workshops with business stakeholders, providing analysis and solution design expertise aligned with current and future business needs. \nDesign, build, and deploy high-performance technical solutions on the Salesforce Lightning Platform, adhering to Salesforce best practices and standards. \nDevelop custom applications using both declarative tools (Workflows, Process Builder, Flow) and programmatic development (Apex, Visual Force Pages, Triggers, Lightning/LWC Components). \nArchitect and support integrations between Salesforce and third-party platforms and backend web services (REST/SOAP). \nOrganize, manage, and guide offshore Salesforce development teams in alignment with established standards, processes, and procedures. \nServe as a technical escalation point for a business team, advising on technical feasibility and implementation strategies. \nCommunicate project status and issues clearly to team members and stakeholders; collaborate with cross-functional and project teams. \nEnsure solutions are sustainable and maintainable across implementation and ongoing use. \nTroubleshoot and resolve bugs and open issues to ensure on-time delivery and smooth hand-offs. \nParticipate in and help guide agile development processes, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. \n Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent years of software development experience. \n5+ years of overall technology experience, including 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce.com Platform (Apex, Visual Force, SOQL, Unit Testing). \nStrong working knowledge of Workflows, Reports, Process Builder, Flow, and Triggers. \nStrong working knowledge of web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.). \nProven experience with Lightning Components and Lightning Web Component (LWC) development. \n1-2 years of project management experience preferred \nExperience directly interacting with business SMEs for requirements gathering, solution design, development, and deployment. \nDemonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior and offshore developers. \nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. \nSalesforce certification (e.g., Platform Developer I or II) required \nRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. \nWillingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.\nEEO Statement\nPenske is an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
