Engineered and manufactured primarily from our facilities in the Netherlands, we support customers in more than 150 countries through a global network of service professionals.\nTo support our continued growth in the Nordic region, we are looking for a:\nField Service Engineer\nBased in Denmark\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nAs a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Pentair Sustainable Process Solutions equipment across Denmark and occasionally internationally.\nYou will work independently at customer sites and act as Pentair's technical representative, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality service delivery. The role requires a strong combination of mechanical, electrical, and process knowledge, together with excellent customer communication skills.\nREPORTING LINE\nThe Field Service Engineer reports to the Field Service Operations Team Lead, based in Venlo, The Netherlands.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nService & Maintenance\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on biogas upgrading, CO₂ recovery, refrigeration, compression, and related process installations.\nExecute troubleshooting activities and identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process-related issues.\nCarry out repairs, modifications, inspections, and service interventions in accordance with work orders and company procedures.\nSupport commissioning, startup, testing, and performance verification of new installations.\nProvide technical support and recommendations to customers regarding maintenance, operation, and optimization of installed equipment.\nPlanning & Execution\nPrepare service visits by reviewing work orders, technical documentation, drawings, and required parts.\nEnsure all necessary tools, materials, spare parts, and safety equipment are available before mobilization.\nCoordinate site activities efficiently while minimizing customer downtime.\nKeep service schedules updated and communicate any deviations, risks, or additional work requirements.\nCustomer Support\nBuild strong relationships with customers through professional communication and technical expertise.\nAct as the first technical point of contact during site visits.\nIdentify service opportunities and improvement recommendations that create value for the customer.\nProvide clear verbal and written updates regarding progress, findings, and recommendations.\nDocumentation & Reporting\nComplete detailed service reports, maintenance records, and timesheets accurately and on time.\nDocument findings, corrective actions, and recommendations using Pentair service systems.\nReport non-conformities, safety observations, and improvement opportunities.\nHealth, Safety & Environment\nEnsure full compliance with Pentair and customer HSE requirements.\nActively promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.\nConduct risk assessments and follow permit-to-work procedures when required.\nStop work immediately in unsafe situations and escalate concerns appropriately.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.\nOn-Call Support\nParticipate in the field service on-call rotation to support customers outside regular business hours when required.\nCOMMUNICATION\nThe position requires regular interaction with:\nCustomers, operators, maintenance personnel and contractors\nInternal service coordinators and planning teams\nProject Management and Engineering teams\nTechnical Support specialists\nSpare Parts and Supply Chain teams\nFluent communication in English is required.\nKnowledge of additional languages such as Danish, German, Dutch, French, Italian, or Swedish is considered an advantage.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation\nTechnical degree or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Refrigeration Technology, or equivalent.\nExperience\nMinimum 3 years of experience in a Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Commissioning Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar technical role.\nExperience working with industrial process equipment in customer-facing environments.\nExperience with international field service activities is considered a plus.\nTechnical Competencies\nStrong mechanical troubleshooting skills.\nKnowledge of pumps, compressors, valves, rotating equipment, and industrial process systems.\nUnderstanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, sensors, motors, and frequency drives.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.\nBasic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation.\nExperience with refrigeration, gas compression, biogas, CO₂ recovery, or related process technologies is highly desirable.\nFamiliarity with pressure equipment and industrial gas systems is advantageous.\nPersonal Competencies\nCustomer-focused and service-minded.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAble to work independently and take ownership of site activities.\nFlexible and willing to travel extensively within Denmark and occasionally internationally.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills.\nStructured, responsible, and safety-conscious.\nPositive attitude with a hands-on approach.\nREQUIREMENTS\nValid driver's license.\nWillingness to travel frequently within Denmark and internationally when required.\nAbility to work at industrial sites and occasionally outside normal working hours.\nFluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken, other languages
