You will work with our technical team to develop test methods, set up, and conduct new product performance tests.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nSet up, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced testing solutions for mechanical, electrical, and electronic pool, filtration, heating, sanitizing, and automation systems using precision instrumentation and automated test equipment (ATE).\nAssist engineers in diagnosing system and / or component failures, performing root cause analysis with tools such as multimeters, amp meters, flow meters, pressure gages and data acquisition systems.\nEvaluate and propose improvements for lab testing processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.\nFabricate advanced test fixtures and tools potentially using cutting tools, PVC gluing, and precision assembly techniques to support prototype and production testing.\nIndependently maintain lab facilities and equipment, including calibration of instruments per industry standards and ensuring accurate documentation to compliance standards / requirements\nMentor and guide less experienced technicians on technical troubleshooting and equipment setup\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing automation, data collection, and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency\nStay current with changing regulatory and technical requirements as new standards and technology evolves & ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards\nProvide support by assisting or acting as Quality Technician to include duties such as troubleshooting daily quality issues in collaboration with Quality Engineers and production teams within an assigned manufacturing area.\nQualifications\nProficient in product testing and troubleshooting, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental stress testing.\nHands-on experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and data acquisition systems in a lab environment.\nProven ability to fabricate and assemble custom test fixtures, including proficiency with cutting tools and precision assembly techniques.\nAdvanced instrumentation skills, with hands-on experience with pressure gages, temperature gages, flow meters, signal generators, thermal chambers, electric motors, relays capacitors and vibration test systems.\nExperience implementing process improvements, such as automation and preventative maintenance strategies.\nDemonstrate leadership and mentoring abilities to the above duties and responsibilities\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, applying failure analysis tools to determine root cause\nEffective communication and documentation skills, including technical reports and test plans.\nExcellent organizational and project management skills, managing and reporting on multiple test programs simultaneously.\nAbility to work collaboratively with engineering teams and independently on technical tasks.\nKnowledge of regulatory requirements including industry test standards and safety compliance standards.\nYears of Experience and Education:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n3 - 5 years of experience in a lab environment.\nTravel:\nLess than 10%\nPhysical Demands & Work Environment\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range.
