You will be responsible for multiple injection molding tooling projects to support plant wide NPD projects, and continuation engineering activities.\nYou will:\nProvide budgetary quotes and timing for new injection molding tools.\nObtain quotes for new tooling, issue purchase orders and manage costs of new tooling.\nReview 3D models of product design and drive design changes for improved product performance, decreased cycle times and increasing tooling life.\nPerform tooling design review and interface with product engineers for design changes ensuring new tools conform to Pentair tooling standards.\nPerform mold flow analysis.\nReview hot runner and unscrewing mold designs.\nCalculate press tonnage, cycle times, and piece part pricing.\nMonitor tooling builds timeline, managing engineering changes.\nTravel to overseas tooling shops as required for design review and final part run off.\nPrioritize activities and perform program management activities.\nCoordinates sampling, metrology requests, and changes to tooling when it arrives on site.\nLead and attend meetings related to projects.\nBe actively involved in safety, 5S, and housekeeping within the team.\nParticipate in lean processes in order to improve plant layout, process flow, and labor efficiency while implementing state of the art ergonomic and safety standards.\nParticipate in warranty and cost reduction efforts.\nLiaison between design engineering and manufacturing on new products and product changes.\nI participate in vendor certification.\nOther duties as assigned.\nKey Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree\n3-5 years’ experience in injection molding, tooling, processes, and project management. \nCandidate must have experience in handling multiple projects and utilizing resources to drive bottom line results.\nSolidWorks (or similar design software) experience required. \nMust be able to understand GDT tolerances of plastic and steel parts.\n Experience with managing injection molding tooling projects required.\n Strong program management skills required.\nInjection molding processing experience preferred.\nCandidate must be able to effectively communicate with all areas of the business in both verbal and written format.\nCompensation:\nFor this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $90500 - $168100 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
