We're building the cloud platform that runs Pentera from SaaS: an event-driven AWS control plane that manages, upgrades and monitors a fleet of attack nodes running in customer environments. You'll own the full path from design to infrastructure to production, and help us build and operate in an AI-native way.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable writing backend services and owning the infrastructure, pipelines and observability those services run on.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build and ship backend services on AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, EventBridge), from architecture through production\nOwn infrastructure as code with Terraform: IAM, queues, CloudFront/WAF, container registries, and deployment and rollback\nBuild the communication layer between the cloud and customer nodes: authentication, command delivery, status reporting, secure artifact delivery\nImprove our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub) so changes ship to production quickly and safely\nDrive observability with Datadog, OpenTelemetry and CloudWatch, and keep it cost-efficient at fleet scale\nTake end-to-end responsibility from design to implementation, raise the bar on code quality and operational readiness, and mentor other engineers\nEmphasize an AI-native approach by using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow and helping the team get more out of them\nRequirements\n6+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS, especially serverless and event-driven architectures\nProduction experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release processes\nStrong fundamentals in distributed systems: idempotency, retries, queues, failure handling\nA security-minded approach to IAM, secrets and service-to-service authentication\nProven track record of owning features end-to-end, from initial design to production .\nAdvanced proficiency with AI coding tools in real work\nNice to have:\nExperience with hybrid SaaS and on-prem products, or with managing fleets of agents or edge devices\nExperience with Datadog, OpenTelemetry or large-scale observability\nBackground in cybersecurity or infrastructure-heavy products\nExperience in a high-growth startup environment\nDevOps experience as an advantage \nWe are an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to building a diverse and talented workforce.
