{"id":2649741,"url":"https://alion.io/job/penumbra-production-material-handler-i-swing-shift","title":"Production Material Handler I - Swing shift","company":{"id":4897,"name":"Penumbra","domain":"penumbrainc.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/penumbra","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Lever","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":81,"open_postings":11,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":0.545,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":66,"computed_at":"2026-10-16T05:45:00Z"}},"role":"Administrative","role_family":"Administrative","seniority":"junior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Roseville, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":{"min":18,"max":26,"currency":"USD","period":"hour","gross":null,"usd_annual":52000},"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":1,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Kanban","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-15T18:27:25Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-15","last_verified_at":"2026-10-16T21:58:35Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":1,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":1},"description":"Come join the Production team at Penumbra, a company dedicated to saving lives.\nThe Production Material Handler I responsibilities are to maintain accuracy and control, with minimal supervision, of inbound and outbound materials and the Kanban levels in the designated production Kanban areas.\nSpecific Duties and Responsibilities\nMaintains accurate logs, files and computer systems for material receipts, issues, returns and Lot control.\nMaintains accurate inventory levels in Kanban and reconciles shortages or overages.\nProcesses daily material issues and returns\nMaintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory\nLocates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders\nMonitor and maintain Kanban inventory levels in the designated production areas where material is stored for production use.\nPerform appropriate material transactions/functions (using computer ERP/MRP system or paper-based forms/documents) required to issues, handle and/or record materials transactions.\nMaintain a clean, neat, safe work area (i.e., sweeping, emptying trash, general cleanup).\nEscalate issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.\nAble to operate material handling equipment (including electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks).\nFollow all safety rules and guidelines\nAssist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.\nProcessing material requests in a timely manner to support manufacturing production areas\nParticipates in job rotation to be cross trained in secondary job responsibilities\nIssues materials to production floor and maintains material traceability\nAdhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.\nUnderstand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.\nEnsure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.\nRegular, reliable attendance onsite\nPerform other work-related duties as assigned.\nPosition Qualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school graduate or general education degree (GED) with 1+ years recent or comparable experience working in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience\nAdditional Qualifications:\nComputer experience\nAbility to follow written instructions\nGood oral and written communication skills\nKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices helpful\nSatisfactory completion of background check\nAbility to work day shift hours of: 7 am to 3:30 pm\nWorking Conditions\nStockroom and cleanroom environments\nPotential exposure to blood-borne pathogens\nRequires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds\nThe employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer for extended periods of time, and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.\nStarting Base Pay is $18.00 -
