ASP.NET Web Forms | VB.NET / C# | SQL Server\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\nYou will work on business-critical systems used in the exhibitions, conferences and corporate events industry, including:\n\n Exhibition and Event Management Systems\n\n Online Registration and RSVP Systems\n\n Business Matchmaking and Meeting Systems\n\n Exhibitor, buyer and attendee portals\n\n On-site event management solutions\n\n Payment, messaging and other third-party integrations\n\n Our core technology stack includes ASP.NET Web Forms, VB.NET, C# and Microsoft SQL Server.\n\n This is a hands-on development role involving both new development and the maintenance and enhancement of established applications. You will work with detailed business logic, high-volume databases and systems that need to perform reliably during large-scale live events.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\n Develop, enhance and maintain ASP.NET Web Forms applications\n\n Develop application functionality using VB.NET and C#\n\n Work across both front-end and back-end development\n\n Design, develop and maintain SQL Server database functionality\n\n Write and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures and related database components\n\n Troubleshoot and optimise SQL queries and application performance\n\n Develop integrations with third-party APIs and external services\n\n Integrate with payment gateways, messaging platforms and related systems\n\n Investigate and resolve application bugs and production issues\n\n Develop new functionality and enhance existing application modules\n\n Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)\n\n Write clean, maintainable and reliable code\n\n Participate in code reviews\n\n Create and maintain HTML email templates\n\n Collaborate with project managers and other team members\n\n Participate in daily team stand-ups\n\n Assist with technical client support queries when required\n\n Help ensure project and event deadlines are met\n\nDesired Experience & Qualification\nEssential Requirements\n\n 3–5 years' commercial web development experience\n\n Strong ASP.NET Web Forms experience\n\n Strong experience with VB.NET and/or C#\n\n Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server\n\n Good knowledge of T-SQL\n\nExperience with:\n\n Complex SQL queries\n\n Joins\n\n Stored procedures\n\n Data troubleshooting\n\n Query optimisation\n\n Experience with full-stack web development\n\nGood working knowledge of:\n\n HTML5\n\n CSS3\n\n JavaScript\n\n Experience debugging and supporting production web applications\n\n Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills\n\n Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues independently\n\n Ability to work effectively in a remote environment\n\n Good written and verbal English communication skills\n\n Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, relevant IT diploma, or equivalent proven commercial development experience\n\nNice to Have\n\n Experience with both VB.NET and C#\n\n Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps\n\n Experience developing or consuming REST APIs\n\n Experience integrating third-party services\n\n Experience with payment gateway integrations\n\n Experience with SMS, WhatsApp or other messaging APIs\n\n Experience working
