The role includes building secure communication between distributed devices and cloud services, implementing scalable data processing pipelines, deployment automation and monitoring solutions.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDeveloping backend architecture and cloud-based services\nImplementing secure data ingestion pipelines from connected edge devices\nDeveloping communication interfaces using MQTT, REST APIs, WebSockets or similar technologies\nDesigning and maintaining databases for sensor data, telemetry, logs, alerts, AI outputs and operational information\nBuilding monitoring, remote diagnostics, logging and alerting solutions\nSupporting OTA deployment workflows for firmware, backend services and edge software\nImplementing authentication, authorization, encryption and secure API design\nDeveloping backend services for dashboards, operator interfaces and monitoring tools\nImplementing buffering, synchronization, deduplication and data integrity mechanisms for unstable connectivity scenarios\nSetting up cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows\nCollaborating with Embedded Engineers on device-to-cloud communication and telemetry\nCollaborating with AI/ML Engineers on data models, analytics integration and model output management\nPreparing technical documentation for backend architecture, APIs, deployment workflows and operational procedures\nIf you are someone who has:\n Must:\nPractical experience or strong demonstrated knowledge of backend development\nGood knowledge of one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Go, Java, C# or similar\nExperience with REST APIs, MQTT, WebSockets or similar communication technologies\nExperience working with relational and/or time-series databases\nFamiliarity with cloud environments and server-side infrastructure\nUnderstanding of authentication, authorization, encryption and secure API design\nExperience with Linux, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines or deployment automation\nAbility to design structured data models and reliable data ingestion workflows\nExperience building monitoring, logging and diagnostic solutions\nAbility to prepare clear technical documentation\nEnglish or Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian for daily communication\n Nice to have:\nExperience with IoT platforms, connected devices or edge/cloud architectures\nExperience with AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform\nExperience with message brokers, queues, event-driven architectures and time-series databases\nExperience implementing OTA update workflows and device management solutions\nExperience with GDPR-compliant data handling and role-based access control\nExperience developing dashboards, admin panels or operational monitoring tools\nExperience integrating AI/ML model outputs into backend systems\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi\nExperience with observability platforms, uptime monitoring and production diagnostics\nGerman language skills for communication with Austrian partners and suppliers\nAdditional information:\nIf you are interested in the position, please send us your resume.
