This role requires someone who can own problems end-to-end — from implementation and operational support to troubleshooting and continuous improvement — while communicating clearly with stakeholders. A key focus of this role is building and managing GitHub-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Key Responsibilities\n1. Production Support & Operational Ownership\n\nProvide hands-on support for production and non-production platforms\n\nTroubleshoot incidents across application, infrastructure, and database layers\n\nOwn operational issues through to resolution, recovery, and follow-up\n\nPerform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes and preventive\n\nimprovements\n\nContinuously improve platform reliability, support processes, and operational\n\nReadiness\n2. GitHub & CI/CD (Core Focus)\n\nDesign, build, and maintain GitHub repositories, branching strategies, and\n\nworkflows\n\nDevelop and manage GitHub Actions pipelines for CI/CD\n\nImplement automated build, test, security scanning, and deployment pipelines\n\n• Enforce best practices around:\no Code reviews and pull requests\no Branch protection and release management\n\no Secrets management and secure pipeline design\n\nOptimize pipelines for speed, reliability, and security\n\nIntegrate DevSecOps controls (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning)\n\n3. Stakeholder Communication\n\nCommunicate clearly with internal teams and stakeholders\n\nProvide timely updates on incidents, issues, and remediation progress\n\nParticipate in incident calls, support discussions, and operational reviews\n\nDocument issues, resolutions, and recurring support patterns clearly\n\n4. Platform Engineering & Operations\n\nSupport and maintain production and non-production environments\n\nTroubleshoot across application, infrastructure, and database layers\n\nLead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes\n\n5. AWS Cloud Infrastructure\n\nSupport and maintain AWS environments (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS)\n\nManage infrastructure changes using Terraform or CloudFormation\n\nMonitor security, availability, and cost efficiency\n\n6. MySQL Database Administration\n\nManage MySQL (replication, backups, recovery, tuning)\n\nTroubleshoot and optimize database performance\n\n7.
