You will work with modern backend technologies, follow industry best practices, and develop secure, maintainable, and efficient software solutions.\nYou will work in a collaborative Agile team comprising Architects, Technical Leads, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Developers, QA Automation Engineers, and DevOps experts, reporting to the Team Manager.\nCareer PathAs a Backend Engineer, you will have opportunities to grow into roles such as Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or managerial and techno-functional career streams.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Node.js.\n\nDevelop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with databases and external systems.\n\nWrite clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.\n\nImplement secure and high-performance backend solutions.\n\nWrite automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.\n\nParticipate in code reviews and follow continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.\n\nContribute to application architecture and technical design discussions.\n\nWork with relational databases, optimize queries, and ensure efficient data management.\n\nTroubleshoot backend issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.\n\nRequirementsMust-Have Skills\n3–4 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js.\n\nStrong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.\n\nExperience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.\n\nGood understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and Node.js fundamentals.\n\nHands-on experience with SQL databases, data modelling, and query optimization.\n\nStrong fundamentals in OOP, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.\n\nExperience writing automated unit tests using Jest, Mocha, or equivalent frameworks.\n\nUnderstanding of authentication, authorization, error handling, and backend application security.\n\nAbility to write clean, modular, reusable, and testable code.\n\nStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile team.\n\nGood-to-Have Skills\nExperience with Microsoft SQL Server.\n\nKnowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.\n\nFamiliarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.\n\nExposure to Docker, containerization, and cloud-based application deployment.\n\nUnderstanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile engineering practices.\n\nFamiliarity with caching, message queues, application monitoring, and performance optimization.\n\nWork Culture at People10At People10, you will be part of an exceptional work environment surrounded by supportive colleagues and a culture where feedback flows freely.
