Completing and enhancing the platform is a key priority, as its functionality will enable greater efficiency across other phases of the business's operating model.\nWorking under the direction of the client's onshore IT Manager and technical lead, you will contribute to feature development, bug fixing, testing, documentation, and ongoing platform improvements. You will work against a defined product backlog, collaborate with the wider technical team, and help increase development capacity while maintaining quality, security, and reliability.\nThis is an opportunity to join a growing offshore development team, contribute to a core business platform, and work closely with an Australian-based team in a long-term, permanent role.\nKey Responsibilities\nSoftware Development and Enhancement\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain EVRAA features based on an agreed product backlog, technical direction, and defined acceptance criteria.\nBuild and maintain application functionality supporting insurance claims, job management, and financial workflows.\nDeliver feature development and system enhancements in line with agreed priorities and sprint objectives.\nDevelop, maintain, and support APIs and system integrations as required.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-structured code in accordance with established development standards.\nBug Fixing and Quality Assurance\nInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and application issues.\nPerform bug fixes, unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing to maintain application stability.\nIdentify potential risks, technical issues, and opportunities to improve application performance and reliability.\nParticipate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.\nSupport testing and deployment activities to ensure changes are delivered safely and effectively.\nCollaboration and Delivery\nWork closely with the onshore IT Manager, technical lead, and relevant operational stakeholders.\nParticipate in sprint planning, development discussions, code reviews, and delivery activities.\nTranslate technical requirements and acceptance criteria into practical development solutions.\nProvide regular updates on progress, technical blockers, and delivery risks.\nMaintain technical documentation, release notes, and system change records.\nFollow established processes for source code management, version control, testing, and deployment.\nContinuous Improvement\nContribute to the ongoing development and stabilisation of EVRAA.\nRecommend practical improvements to existing features, workflows, and technical processes.\nHelp improve delivery speed while maintaining software quality and maintainability.\nSupport the development of a scalable, reliable platform that can accommodate evolving business requirements.\nSkills and Qualifications\nProven experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.\nExperience developing and maintaining web-based applications across front-end and back-end components.\nProficiency in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.\nExperience developing and maintaining APIs and system integrations.\nStrong understanding of software development practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and deployment.\nExperience with unit, integration, and regression testing.\nFamiliarity with Agile or sprint-based software development methodologies.\nExperience working with databases and data-driven applications.\nStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work from an established backlog and deliver features against clearly defined acceptance criteria.\nStrong documentation and communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with an offshore team and an Australian-based technical lead.\nWorking Structure and Technical Leadership\nThe offshore development team will work under the direction of the client's retained onshore IT Manager and technical lead.\nThe onshore technical lead will be responsible for product direction, backlog ownership, prioritisation, code review, release management, architecture decisions, security, and insurer integrations.\nThe offshore team will focus on delivering development work against the defined backlog, including feature development, bug fixing, testing, and technical documentation.
