This position will include systems engineering and other related program office support for the MDA/BCDV Chief Engineer in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be capable of accomplishing assignments in teamwork or independent settings. Work may require travel 5% of the time to various locations to include prime contractor sites, other program offices, integration sites, and applicable laboratories within the CONUS.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills/Experience:\nExperience with generating and/or reviewing artifacts for major engineering technical reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and IETR events\nExperience with assessing technical requirements and/or Interface Control Documents\nExperience with generating executive summaries and informational briefings for government decision makers\nPossess both practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge in Infrared and/or RF sensor systems\nCapable of working independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks to solve engineering/scientific problems\nCapable of leading implementation of system engineering processes to facilitate integration and transition of emerging capabilities\nExperience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint \nTravel: 5%\nMust be aU.S. Citizen\nAn active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.\nEducation Requirements:\nBS in engineering, mathematics, physics, technology, or science\nMA/MS in related field with 12 years’ experience\nDesired Skills:\n TS clearance with SCI Eligibility\nProven writing and speaking communication skills \nBS/MS in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on exploitation of infrared sensor data\nFamiliarity with current missile threats to the CONUS and Combatant Commands\nExperience of conducting technical reviews or writing Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) proposals \nFamiliarity with orbital mechanics \nExperience or familiarity with MDA weapon systems, radars, or C2BMC or BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA) \nTechnical experience with detecting or tracking objects with 2-D Infrared sensor data \nExperience with developing kill assessment algorithms/tools or associated technologies such as lethality determination \nExperience with writing statements of work and/or engineering cost estimates\nExperience with formulating operational concepts for missile defense applications \nIntegration of elements into missile defense weapon systems (sensor fusion, timeline analysis, engagement planning, state diagrams, ICDs)\nFamiliar with C2BMC and/or Overhead Persistent GEOINT Architecture (OPGA) message sets \nFamiliarity with assessing Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) \nExperience with generating Test Objective Memorandums for MDA flight tests\nExperience with managing Task Management Tool (TMT) Taskers within MDA\nExperience with reviewing technical content associated with TMT Taskers\nFamiliarity with the Agile Software development process \nOverview\nPeople First.
