The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and a desire to contribute to research and development (R&D) projects in areas such as engineering physics, electronics, RF systems, and emerging technologies.\nIn this role, you will work as part of a collaborative team to design experiments, develop models, and analyze data to solve complex technical challenges. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in Government and contractor laboratories, gaining hands-on experience and building your technical expertise. Candidates with experience or interest in RF systems, electronics, or chip design are encouraged to apply.\nThis position is ideal for current graduate students who are eager to apply their education to real-world problems, develop new skills, and grow their careers in a dynamic research environment.\nDuties:\n Assist with the design and execution of experiments, including laboratory and simulation-based activities.\nConduct data analysis and contribute to the development of computational models using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar software. \nCollaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and test hypotheses related to engineering, physics, and emerging technologies. \nSupport the development of technical documentation, including research reports, experimental procedures, and presentations. \nOperate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including instrumentation and measurement systems. \nParticipate in project meetings to discuss technical progress and contribute to problem-solving efforts. \nStay current with relevant scientific literature and emerging technologies to support research activities. \nContribute to the preparation of customer deliverables and assist with proposal development as needed. \nQualifications\nRequired Skills/Experience:\n0-2+ years of experience in a research or technical role, including internships, co-op programs, or academic projects.\nStrong understanding of scientific principles, laboratory techniques, and engineering concepts.\nFamiliarity with programming languages and tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar for data analysis and modeling.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical findings clearly. \nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to new challenges.\nPreferred but not required: Experience or coursework in RF systems, electronics, or chip design. \nTravel: 10 %\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\nAbility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field is required.\nCurrent enrollment in a graduate program for Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field is required.\nOverview\nPeople First.
