Our employee owners support our customers by:\nUnderstanding and developing solutions to support emerging needs in a dynamic environment\nPlanning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions in support of flight testing\nConceiving, developing, and maintaining engineering algorithms to expand capabilities of models and simulations and support to flight testing\nSupporting flight test analysis, planning, and execution\nThe successful candidate will be an adaptable, agile, experienced engineer who is a consummate team player capable of researching, analyzing, and engineering solutions to meet customer demand for flight testing tools and to support a fast-paced, cutting edge flight test program. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess effective communication skills, and have experience with flight test planning, test execution, and post test data analysis.\nQualifications\n Required Skills/Experience:\nExperience in trajectory analysis and flight test modeling and simulation\nAbility to perform modeling and simulation efforts that will support the analysis of trajectory feasibility for hypersonic platforms\nSupport operational and development testing in austere locations, performing duties in the planning and execution of weapon testing\nExperience in the analysis and decomposition of customer requirements and the subsequent development of measurable tasks to be completed by the engineering and software teams\nAbility to apply an interdisciplinary approach to ensure technical needs are translated into step-by-step processes to produce efficient and effective results\nStrong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills in support of requirements analysis, program design and development, unit testing, verification, integration, and reporting\nFamiliar with high level programming languages such as C++, C#, and/or Python\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)\nFamiliarity with the development and integration of engineering tools into software\nSound oral communication and technical writing skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical approaches and findings to the team and the government customer\nThe ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment\nTravel: Up to 25%\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\nAn active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in science or engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university and 5 - 8+ years of progressively complex experience in modeling and simulation, software, aerospace systems, and/or flight testing\nA relevant master’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of relevant work experience. \nA relevant PhD degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three years of relevant work experience. \nDesired Skills:\nPerforming on console operations in a flight test mission operations center\n\nFamiliarity with flight testing of emergent weapons systems\n\nExperience with the verification and validation of modeling and simulation tools is preferred\n\nExperience in analysis of trajectory feasibility based on aerospace data and mission parameters is desired\n\nExperience in developmental test and/or operational test and evaluation for DoD programs is a plus\n\nOverview\nPeople First.
