The successful candidate will independently execute assigned responsibilities while supporting Development & Integration, Operations & Sustainment, and continuous improvement activities across interconnected infrastructure environments. This role is ideal for an engineer capable of operating independently while remaining adaptable to evolving technologies, environments, and operational requirements.\nIntegrated Infrastructure Awareness: Infrastructure personnel are expected to become operationally familiar with adjacent infrastructure disciplines in order to effectively collaborate, troubleshoot, and support integrated enterprise environments. While each position maintains a primary area of specialization, success within the Infrastructure organization requires an understanding of how interconnected technologies function together to support overall organizational objectives.\nPersonnel are not expected to be subject matter experts outside of their primary specialty but are expected to develop operational awareness of:\nNetwork infrastructure and enterprise connectivity concepts\nCompute, virtualization, and supporting infrastructure platforms\nWindows and Linux operating environments\nCloud and hybrid infrastructure concepts\nCybersecurity, STIG implementation, and compliance requirements\nInfrastructure automation and orchestration processes\nDocumentation, testing, deployment, and sustainment activities\nPersonnel are expected to leverage this awareness to effectively collaborate across teams, reduce single points of failure, and contribute to the successful delivery and sustainment of integrated infrastructure capabilities.\nDuties:\nAdminister, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure environments.\nConfigure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPN technologies, and associated network devices.\nSupport VLANs, routing, switching, network segmentation, and enterprise connectivity requirements.\nTroubleshoot network, firewall, VPN, and connectivity-related issues.\nDevelop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, operational procedures, and change records.\nSupport network implementations, upgrades, modernization efforts, and technology refresh activities.\nImplement applicable STIG requirements and support compliance activities across supported infrastructure environments.\nParticipate in planning, testing, deployment, Operations & Sustainment, and continuous improvement activities supporting integrated environments.\nCoordinate activities with engineers, stakeholders, and supporting teams to ensure successful delivery and sustainment of infrastructure capabilities.\nParticipate in after-action reviews and contribute to process improvements and knowledge-sharing initiatives.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills/Experience:\n5-8 years of experience\nExperience supporting enterprise networking environments.\nExperience with routing, switching, VLANs, segmentation, and network troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with firewall and VPN technologies.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and within a team environment.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nGood oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to work well within a team environment.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nAbility to build automation using Ansible to build network appliances\nFamiliarity with virtualization working with vCenter and vSwitching\nTravel: Up to 10%\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\nAn active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active TS/SCI eligbility clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.\nEquivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.\nPhysical Job Requirements:\nThis position will work in an office, datacenter, and laboratory environment.\nMust be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs., including installation and handling of IT equipment as required.\nDesired Skills:\nCisco, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise networking certifications.\nExperience supporting DoD or federal environments.\nExperience with secure network design, network documentation, and change control processes.\nFamiliarity with virtualization, cloud, and infrastructure automation concepts.\nOverview\nPeople First.
