The candidate will work with the Product Manager, other developers, and engineers to define system requirements, create a compliant architecture, and integrate/develop software components. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess effective communication skills, and have skills and experience with a micro-service-based open systems architecture.\nDuties Include:\nDevelop in a micro-services-based software architecture capable of operating in a deployed environment across tactical networks\nSpecify functional requirements, design computer simulations, client-server architectures, advanced networks/protocols, and databases\nReview and develop technical specifications and standards, ensuring successful integration of subsystems into a microservice-oriented architecture framework\nIntegrate and modify software components and ensure interfaces and languages are compatible with the overall architecture\nPlan and create new software modules to implement future capability enhancements as well as respond to changing customer requirements\nDesign and develop advanced networks and protocols, database management systems, and program in high order languages\nPrepare and present briefings to internal and external teammates as well as customers\nApply science and/or engineering techniques to develop economical solutions to technical problems\nQualifications\n Required Skills/Experience:\nProficiency in common high-order programming languages such as C/C++, C#, and Python and the Windows and/or Linux operating systems\nExperience developing software in a microservices-based architecture\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in the application of requirements analysis, design and development, unit testing, verification, integration, and reporting\nExperience in quality assurance during the software development and deployment stages\nSound oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings to the team and the government customer\nExperience working in an integrated development environment and using tools like Git and Visual Studio\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment\nTravel: Up to 20%\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\nAn active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in science or engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university and 10 years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, software, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems\n\nA relevant master’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of relevant work experience. A relevant PhD degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three years of relevant work experience.\n\nDesired Skills :\nExperience with Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) development practices\nExperience developing software for DoD weapon systems, missile defense, hypersonics, or flight test and analysis applications\nCRUD-based repository management\nDomain-Driven Design (DDD) principles for modeling complex mission and flight analysis domains\nBuilding service interfaces and inter-service communication with gRPC and Protocol Buffers (protobuf)\nReactive programming using ReactiveX for event-driven and asynchronous data flows\nAI development, including integrating machine learning models or AI-enabled capabilities into production software, and using AI-assisted tools in the development workflow\nCloud development and deployment, including building, containerizing, and deploying services in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or government cloud platforms)\nOverview\nPeople First.
