environment\n\nAnalyse model output and complex datasets to uncover insights and trends that inform business decisions and drive growth\n\nDesign and execute controlled experiments to test new strategies, providing statistically sound recommendations\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement models\n\nCommunicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders and decision makers in a clear and concise manner\n\nDrive innovation by identifying new opportunities, data sources and methodologies for improved solutions\n\nGuide, mentor and upskill junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence\n\nDefine and enforce best practices for code quality, version control, model validation and MLOps deployment pipelines\n\nJob Requirements\nHonours in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or a highly quantitative field (Master’s degree advantageous)\n\nMinimum of 5 years experience in data science, with at least 2 years in a dedicated senior role\n\nRetail, Customer or Marketing experience is highly advantageous\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\nStrong proficiency in Python and SQL\n\nA good understanding of code repositories, git and CI/CD\n\nExperience with machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, etc.)\n\nExperience with statistical analysis and hypothesis testing\n\nExperience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP)\n\nFamiliarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Data Studio or Power BI)\n\nExperience with model productionisation and model tracking\n\nSoft Skills:\n\nExcellent communication and presentation abilities to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders\n\nStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to tackle ambiguous business problems\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment\n\nA self-driven team player who is results driven, assumes
