You will be responsible for making payments to suppliers by processing all relevant documents.\nJob description\n\nTo make payments to suppliers by processing all relevant documents.\nKey Dials:\nFollow company processes, controls and policies\nCreate and take action on month-end accounts payable reports\nReceive invoices, perform necessary validations and execute transactions with timeliness\nEnsure invoices are matched against purchase orders with reference to quantities, quality, description and price.\nEnsure that the correct VAT is applied to invoices.\nEnsure purchase orders and invoices are properly authorized and are in accordance with the appropriate levels of authority.\nEnsure invoices related to contracts agree to the contract.\nTimeous payment of invoices, ensuring discount claimed where applicable.\nForward remittance advices to suppliers after completion of payment run.\nResolve issues, serve as a resource in troubleshooting complex matters and insure that problems are responded to in a timely manner\nAid in handling documents\nProvide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including vendors, facilities and colleagues.\nMinimum requirements\nGrade 12\n3 years Creditors reconciliation in a Retail environment and working with high book values with strict deadlines\nRelevant accounting diploma or degree advantageous\nCompetency
