The Debtors Coordinator is responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining accurate records of customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to resolve customer issues in a professional manner.\nCore Responsibilities:\n\nObtaining reports from various platforms to reconcile and allocate payments accurately\nQuery resolution - Follow up on outstanding queries\nReceiving and processing of customer refunds\nDeal effectively and timeously with customer complaints and ensure that the complaints are resolved or escalated in line with agreed standards\nControl of fraudulent credit card administration/Charge backs received from Banks\nReview and reconcile customer accounts on a regular basis\nInvestigate and resolve any discrepancies or disputes with customer accounts\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nUnderstand and apply the standards set out in all legislations that effects the customer\nAct in a customer centric manner that is in line with service code\nManage colleagues and customers expectations and communicate appropriately\nSelf Management\nQualifications:\nGrade 12\nBachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred\n3-5 years collections experience\nPrevious credit control/online knowledge\nStrong understanding of accounting principles and practices\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software\nKey Competencies:\n\nKnowledge of Online Retail\nBasic financial acumen\nGeneral financial understanding and application\nStrong verbal and written skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively\nDetail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills\nExperience working with customers to resolve payment issues\nKnowledge of legal regulations related to debt collection is a plus\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
