Working closely with the Senior Manager, Operational Risk, you'll provide Line 2 oversight, challenge and guidance to help the business identify, assess and manage operational risks while delivering practical solutions that support strong customer and business outcomes.\nPartner with business stakeholders to identify, assess and manage operational risks in line with Pepper Money's risk management framework.\nFacilitate and challenge Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), ensuring risks, controls and actions are clearly defined and appropriately managed.\nProvide constructive challenge on the design and effectiveness of controls, identifying opportunities to strengthen risk outcomes.\nSupport the uplift of operational risk capability across the business through training, coaching and practical risk guidance.\nReview incidents and issues to ensure they are appropriately recorded, escalated and managed, while supporting meaningful root cause analysis and sustainable remediation.\nPartner with project teams to identify and manage risks associated with business change initiatives and strategic projects.\nAnalyse operational risk data to identify emerging trends, themes and insights that support informed decision-making and governance reporting.\nMaintain high-quality risk information within the GRC system, ensuring records are accurate, complete and up to date.\nChampion a strong risk culture by promoting accountability, ownership and effective risk management practices across the organisation.\nAbout you\nYou're a risk professional who enjoys partnering with the business to solve problems, challenge thinking and drive better risk outcomes. You combine strong analytical skills with a collaborative approach, allowing you to build trusted relationships while helping stakeholders confidently manage risk in a fast-paced financial services environment.\nBring experience in operational risk, compliance, assurance or a related risk discipline within financial services. \nHave a strong understanding of risk management principles and the practical application of operational risk frameworks. \nDemonstrate experience facilitating risk and control assessments and partnering with stakeholders to improve risk outcomes. \nPossess strong incident and issue management experience, including root cause analysis and remediation oversight. \nHave experience working with GRC systems and maintaining risk, control and action records. \nUse excellent written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and present complex concepts in a simple, practical way.\nApply strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify trends, assess impacts and recommend effective solutions. \nBuild trusted relationships, work collaboratively across teams and bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to risk management. \nBring exposure to project risk, business continuity or major change initiatives, which would be highly regarded.\nAt Pepper Money, collaboration is just as vital as your skills.
