We’d love to receive your application and talk with you about your interest in the position if the overview below describes you.\nTrainee-DOT Role Overview\nThe Trainee DOT is primarily responsible for learning all aspects of a Route Delivery Driver role, including the safe and efficient operation of the delivery vehicle. The Trainee DOT will service accounts (Bulk, Small Format, On-Premise, and Dollar General) along a designated route efficiently and effectively by delivering, unloading, and merchandising products in customer accounts according to PBV and customer standards, adhering to all company, state, and federal safety and driving regulations.\nDay-to-Day Responsibilities\nConducts pre/post-trip inspection on truck according to DOT requirements and promptly reports problems to the fleet department.\nSafely drives and maneuvers a truck having a gross vehicle weight of under or over 26,000 pounds.\nSafely unloads product, ensuring proper check-in procedures.\nStocks shelves, racks, coolers, and displays, ensuring proper rotation.\nBreaks down boxes and removes flats, damages, and empty cases to ensure proper credit is given.\nObtains required signatures, store stamps, and invoices to ensure proper settlement at the end of the day.\nCommunicates issues to appropriate store personnel and management.\nFollows all DOT and FMCSA regulations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n Zero (0) to two (2) years of commercial driving experience with a CDL - Class A is required.\nClass A CDL required.\nMust be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment.\nPositive attitude and must be detail oriented.\nPerform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.\nStrong focus on customer satisfaction.\nGood verbal and written communication skills.\nOrganizational skills and ability to prioritize.\nExcellent customer service skills.\nMust be able to meet PBV driving qualifications.\nMust be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.\nCompensation and Benefits\nAs part of your total compensation package, you will also receive the following benefits:\nPaid time off, including holidays, vacation days, personal days, parental leave, and bereavement leave\n401(k) with a company match\nMedical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance options, as well as supplemental health plan options, including accident, critical illness, and hospitalization\nSaving and spending accounts\nCompany-paid telemedicine services\nFree counseling and information services\nWellness program\nCompany-paid life insurance\nCompany-paid disability coverage\nAdoption assistance\nEducation assistance\nLegal service plan option\nPay advance option\nUnfortunately, we will be unable to offer visa sponsorships to candidates.\nEOE M/F/D/V\nPepsi Bottling Ventures is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, or disability status.
