Please do not apply here, apply internally through Workday.\nIf you are NOT a current employee, please click “Apply” and complete job application.\nJob Description\nPURPOSE OF THE JOB\nThe Trainee is primarily responsible for learning all aspects of a Customer Delivery Specialist role, including the safe and efficient operation of the delivery vehicle, and all duties necessary to provide world class service to our customers. Upon completion of training, the Trainee is responsible for performing the Customer Delivery Specialist function on various routes, (including open and vacation routes).\nRESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES\nConducts pre-post-trip inspection on truck according to DOT requirements and promptly reports problems to the Fleet department.\nSafely drives and maneuvers a truck having a gross vehicle weight of under or over 26,000 pounds.\nServices all scheduled customers by the end of shift according to PBV and customer standards.\nDelivers product to store.\nExecutes delivery on all promotions.\nUnloads, merchandises and rotates product in all accounts to PBV and customer standards (e.g., filling shelves and coolers, building and stocking displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating products, refilling out of stocks, removing out of date products, removing/returning shells, etc.)\nEstablishes positive working relationships with primary contact at each account.\nObtains required signatures, store stamps, or otherwise meets other requirements in order to ensure accurate settlement of all invoices at the end of the day.\nCommunicates issues to appropriate store personnel and management.\nFollows all DOT and FMCSA regulations.\nFollows company rules and regulations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nValid Driver’s License.\nMust be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment.\nMust be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from their date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.\nPositive attitude and must be detail oriented.\nPerform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.\nRegular, reliable, and predictable attendance.\nStrong focus on customer satisfaction.\nGood oral and written communication skills.\nPerform heavy physical labor for extended periods of time.\nAble to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.\nSelf-starter with excellent follow-up skills.\nAble to work in a team environment.\nMeet PBV driving qualifications.\nWork hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.\nESSENTIAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS\nMental Functions\nRepetitive job requiring frequent, but not more than normal mental or visual effort or alertness.\nPhysical Functions\nConstantly (34%-66%) required to walk, stand, lift up to 56 pounds and push/pull 300 - 2400 pounds with the assistance of a pallet jack. Frequently (67%-100%) required to sit.
