The analyst will work closely with simulation engineers, Navy stakeholders, and mission analysts to translate existing simulation models, scenarios, data, and workflows into an AFSIM-based environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze the current Navy simulation environment and develop an approach for migration to AFSIM.\nConvert existing simulation models, scenarios, entities, behaviors, and engagement logic into AFSIM.\nDevelop and configure AFSIM scenarios, platforms, sensors, weapons, communications, and mission behaviors.\nValidate converted models and ensure functional and analytical equivalence where appropriate.\nIdentify gaps between the legacy simulation environment and AFSIM and recommend technical solutions.\nSupport integration of AFSIM with existing simulation tools, data sources, and government systems.\nConduct simulation runs, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and document findings.\nWork with government and contractor teams to define requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria.\nProduce technical documentation, configuration artifacts, and analysis supporting the transition to AFSIM.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, operations research, or a related technical discipline.\nRelevant military simulation experience may be considered in lieu of some educational requirements.\n5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; OR 0+ years relevant experience with a PhD.\nRelevant simulation/modeling experience, with demonstrated AFSIM experience strongly preferred.\nExperience with AFSIM and its modeling/simulation framework.\nExperience developing, configuring, or migrating military simulation environments.\nUnderstanding of U.S. Navy mission systems, platforms, sensors, weapons, and/or C4ISR concepts.\nAbility to interpret existing simulation architectures and translate them into AFSIM models.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating with government and engineering teams.\nActive TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience converting an existing Navy or DoD simulation environment to AFSIM.\nExperience with AFSIM scripting, scenario development, and model validation.\nFamiliarity with constructive simulation, wargaming, mission-level modeling, or campaign analysis.\nExperience with Navy tactical operations, distributed simulation, or digital engineering.\nSoftware development experience in C++, Python, or related languages.\nFamiliarity with systems engineering, verification and validation, and model accreditation processes.\nPeraton Overview\nPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
